“Happy return to the Halomy”

Halomy Hotel

We have just returned from the Halomy after a quick weeks break. We stayed on an AI basis. It is the second time we have been in 2 years, we took some friends with us and we all had a fantastic time. Okay it could do with a little tweeking here and there like a lick of paint and the food is a little lacking in variety. We went into the town a few nights to try out some restaurants, try the Dananeer Steak Restaurant it is fantastic and great value for money. The thing that makes this hotel special is the staff. The Manager cannot do enough to make your stay as comfortable as he can .Nothing is too much trouble. It is warm and cheerful and has a very family like atmosphere. We did not mind walking down the steps into Naama Bay because then you are in the heart of the town. The return trip up the steps is another matter but you can sit and have a rest and look at the fantastic view. This is an advantage that this hotel have over all the others - it is situated on top of a hill and overlooks all the bay. This is the only hotel that we have ever stayed at twice in the world and I would go back again.

“Great Location”

Halomy Hotel

We (2 sisters) stayed at the Halomy at the beginning of March. The weather was great but advise that you take a zippy for the evenings. The hotel is a little tired and needs a refurb, but for the money was adequate. It was clean and sheets and towels changed regularly. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We had several massages by Mohamed which were lovely and problem free (despite previous reviews!) There are no tea/coffee making facilities in the room, which was a shame. Food OK for breakfast, only recommend all inclusive if you wish to drink alcohol.

The location is fab. At the end of the Naama Bay, on a hill. 5mins walk down steps to resort. Pool area OK, down some steps to reach a rocky outcrop with umbrellas and excellent snorkelling.

Resort good, did struggle to find a good restaurant though. try Pomodora - excellent (near Camel bar). Alcohol expensive - £3 for a spirit without mixer. Did not rate 'Onions' at all.

We have just got back from Halomy Hotel and we had a fab week.
Having read all the reviews before we left England I was some what expecting the worse however it was the complete opposite.
Ok so it's not a 4 - 5 star but you get what you pay for. The location is great it's only a 5 minute walk to Naama Bay where there are some great restaurants to sample. The hotel is right at the top end of Naama Bay on the cliff the views are fantastic both day and night. The food is not all that great but we only really ate breakfast in the restaurant and most nights went out for food - if you can book BB as the lunch and evening food are much the same each day - chicken, beef, chicken, beef oh and chicken and beef........
I woud defo stay there again the staff are very friendly and can get you anything you need while staying with them.

“Hotel not great”

We went end of January early Feb and expected a few chilly evenings having been before to Sharm but not this hotel.Unfortunately the first few days were very chilly inthe evenings and there was nowhere in the hotel to get warm ,the dining room was freezing the bar was freezing and the first room we had was incredibly draughty. We had to jam curtains and newspapers in the doors and windows to try and stop the wind and the noise from naama bay coming through.we spoke to half a dozen brits and they had all had the trots though none as bad as me I ended up in a clinic on a drip!To be fair later in the year with the warm evenings the cold would not be a problem. The hotel is generally very run down and iwould only ever go to a 5 star in future.
In its favour staff were fine ,the views were excellent and the snorkelling at the hotels reef was second to none for the number and variety of fish

“The Worst Place You Can Ever Imagine”

Halomy Hotel

Well were can i start only with me and my partner arrived saturday night sunday morning December 07 at the Halomy not even putting our cases down and we were being asked to move hotels then after the new year was over we had to return we later found out that this was because the management wanted our room for his friends.
Now lets start with the hotel well if you can call it that i wouldnt let an animal live there. We were shown to our room 111 we finally got in the room how my girlfriend kept the tears back i will never know the bed was like lying on a plank of wood the mirror in the bathroom you couldnt see throught it for all the marks we had no shower for 3 days the windows had cracks in them if a plane went over the room the room shuck. The door didnt fit the frame we had to put a chair against it and fill all around the frame with paper to stop it falling off the hinges. The first day we went for a look round what a complete disgrace just like the room Rats running over the bar (pool side) birds from the outside flying around your head in the so called restuarant and landing on your chair trying to take your food well your eating. (the omlette thats the only headable thing to eat) The staff well they were just as bad didnt seem to change their clothes in 2 weeks and like leaches. The only good thing this hotel as going for it is the view and what a view thats because you have to climb 113 steps.
I could go on and on but if anyone has any questions me and my girlfriend will be more than happy to answer you i just hope from what i wrote it has give you a good idea of what your stay will be like at the Halomy.
