stayed for a week, the hotel is in a lovely position with breathtaking views over the red sea.
all the staff very friendly nothing to much trouble, the pools are a little cold when you first get in could do with a bit of heat..
superb food in all the restaurants best one was the thai.
breakfast time after about 9.00am gets a bit busy went earliar and got a table on the terrace every morning
had interconnecting rooms the block we stayed in was azalia cant fault the rooms only recently built so we were told, also had swimming pool right outside as it was a bit further away from the main pool area and hotel,if you want a nice quiete spot for sunbathing find your way there also the pool was a bit warmer .
all in all a great time and will certainly be going back in the near future.

Booked for a week at the Hyatt Regency as it had the best reviews on trip advisor....booked for a week B&B with a sea view room. On arrival at the Hyatt, we were made to wait to get our room key and then when we got to the room, it was facing a wall...we moved rooms only to be given an interconnecting room with a family and screaming baby next door but were assured the family were leaving the next night which they did.

The room was very very average, no where near a 5 * but am guessing Egyptian 5* is different from English !!

The toilet was not at all clean, the shower backed up and a light on the balcony didn't work...I went to reception and reported them and was promised it would be done, but it wasn't so the next day we went back and asked for Housekeeping to come to the room and do it whilst we were there which they did.

I would think that the basic rooms which we stayed in are desperately in need of an update, the furniture is very old wooden furniture and wouldn't look out of date in a dodgy B&B!!

On the plus side, the breakfast buffet is very good, if you don't get barged out the way by a Russian! We ate at the hotel for lunch a couple of times and for dinner mainly in the souk were i thought the food was very good.

The best part of the hotel was definitely the snorkelling - the reef at the hotel is definitely one of the best areas for this.

A good hotel, not 5 star by any means though.

Overall this is a very nice hotel, great facilities, with plenty of restaurants to choice from. The only real bad thing about this hotel is the price of food and drink. You pay about £3.50 for a beer, which is way more expensive than we paid elsewhere in Egypt.
The restaruants are varied with something to suit all tastes, but again, can cost a bit, especially the Thai one. We found that the lunchtime offerings we a bit limited, I think they need to offer more light snacks.
The room was very nice and spacious, very clean with all the facilities you would expect from a 5 star hotel.

The Hyatt Regency in Sharm El Sheikh is a wonderful hotel. When I stayed there with my family, the hotel was fully booked, yet the hotel did not feel crowded, nor did service suffer.

The hotel is very beautiful, offering a combination of resort architecture with traditional Islamic architectural touches. It is also very clean and beautifully landscaped. The swimming pool is one of the best features, as it is a series of pools descending along the cliffside on which the hotel is built. The uppermost pool has a lazy river, waterfalls and a cave. These are great for adults and children alike, as is the waterslide. The beach is also wonderful. It is clean with plenty of umbrellas and seating, and the snorkeling is wonderful. There are many fish to be seen (surgeon fish, wrasse, parrot fish, butterfly fish, etc. etc.) just by sitting on the jetty.

I found the service at this hotel to be excellent on every level, with attentive and very friendly staff at all levels from housekeeping to front desk.

It is a short drive from the airport (make sure to request the free shuttle pickup) and a short drive from Na'ama Bay, which has a wide range of shops and restaurants.

“perfect stay”

My daughter and I have just returned from a weeks stay at the Hyatt
It was our first trip to Egypt and we were a bit apprehensive but we need not have worried from the minute we stepped into the hotel we were looked after. We chose to stay in the Regency Club part of the hotel as we have done this before in hyatt hotels in different parts of the world and found them to be very good, this was no exception the room although not hugely luxurious was modern and very comfortable and extremely clean. (I am particularly fussy) the bed linen was of very good quality as were the towels and changed daily. We had a ground floor room with a nice view of the immaculate gardens, if you want the full sea view ask for a 2nd floor room.
The Regency Club is a lovely place to eat breakfast on the terrace the service was exceptional, evening canapes were all very good but some times very busy but having said that we did always manage to find a seat . The pool area is really nice and one of the things I really enjoyed about the club was there were always sunbeds even at 11.00am ! the pool butlers are excellent at their jobs and really looked after you.
The bit my blond beautiful 21year old daughter enjoyed was the professionalism of the staff ie no unwanted attention, very unlike alot of places.
So to sum up a very nice hotel for a weeks r&r in very nice surroundings with lovely people the Hyatt has really got it sorted
go and enjoy !
