We stayed at the Tropicana Rosetta from 17/04/08 - 24/04/08 inclusive. On the whole we were satisfied with the resort. The room was clean and the resort as a whole was clean and tidy. The breakfast was satisfactory and a fair variety of food available.
Felt that the staff was friendly and helpful, pool area was clean.
The negative points were:
1) Sunbeds were taken very early in the mornings, some people would leave their personal towels on the sun beds overnight just to ensure they got the same spot and this was a bit unfair for other guests
2) Housekeeping was late afternoon/early evenings and we always waiting or had to ask staff when this would be done
3) During our last 2 days at the resort we had no power or water and again we had to wait and ask staff when this would come on, on the first day of the power cut we had to wait until 4pm for it to come on and on the second day we had to wait until 12pm.
4) Felt that this resort wouldnt suit eldery couples or someone with walking difficulties as there are a lot of steps and this can be very tiring.
Overall satisfied with our break at this hotel. A short 10 minute walk to Naama Bay was great, we booked B&B and ate out in the evenings and Naama Bay was a great place to hang out at night. Must say that we didnt have much of a problem with shopkeepers haggling us as we just walked past them. Great variety of food served at Naama Bay from Mexican, Indian, Thai, Pizza Hut, KFC, Sushi, Seafood, Italian.
Weather wise it was very hot, 40 degrees at day time, 31 degrees at night, no breeze and it was very hot. This was their spring time.
Would recommend this hotel to anyone going there.
