I have been to several 4 stars hotels but really i can see this hotel is the best of them . freindly staff, wide and clean rooms (except the bathroom), nice food with variety , a very lovely swimming pool and a very nice beach.
The animation guys were so nice and helpful and they really made our vacation (but if you're egyptian don't wait to come to know you just go and talk to them and they'll show you all kinds of fun) .
The only issue was the disco. All the hotel go to sleep after 12:00 am . no disco there and when we asked they said the equipments ar not ready . instead of that there was a DJ playing from 9 p.m till 12 a.m in the lobby it wasn't bad but what about after midnight ????!!!!!!
As a whole the hotel was pretty good and i'll return back to it again in my next vacation.

Just returned from this hotel and all I can say is what a fantastic holiday we had. Hotel is very clean, pool is lovely, hotel staff very friendly, room very spacious and clean, bathroom could do with an update but thats the only fault we could find with the whole holiday.

Hotel is situated half way between Naama Bay and Old Sharm, 2 mins walk frrom the nearest beach which is set on a cliff top with steps down into the sea. We preferred terrasena beach which was 5 mins in a taxi and cost about £2.00. Plenty of bananna boats and boat trips, try the submarine if you dont want to do the scuba diving, the sights are amazing.

When buying anything in sharm, from bags,clothes food, trips to taxis, always barter, they soon come down from their original price, usually by about half.

All in all we had a fantastic holiday and would definately go back to this hotel

As we had not been to Egypt before we were a bit dubious, but that soon dissolved with the wonderful staff at Sol y Mar Sharming. The rooms were cleaned throughy daily ! the Bar was great cold beer wine soft drinks milkshakes ect. all perfect.. and the sociable staff were fantastic I would go bakc to just see them agin as they make this hotel! long days lounging by a very large pool with optional water polo and many activites if you are that way inclined. food was above average but not gormet, however resturants are nerby in walking or taxi distance. the beech is a 2 min walk to the reff and the snorkling is amazing best i have seen even over the great barrier oz

Read lots of reports on this hotel which made me wish I had not booked however, it was nothing as bad as I had read. The hotel is situated outside the main towns of nama bay and old sharm. It is easy and cheap to obtain a taxi apporoximately £3.50 to Nam Bay. Most of the hotels run a free shuttle bus. The hotel is cleaned everday day including the rooms. The rooms are large and nicely furnished. I was on the ground floor with pato doors leading to our own sunbeds and next to pool. The pool was large but on the chilly side. The food in the hotel is good. Well the breakfast and lunch are evening is fairly basic. I am a fussy eater but I ate at breakfast and lunch. On the evening we went to Nama Bay. You must try the China House where you can have either Tai, Chinese or Indian. The chinese was great the indian superb. A draw back of the hotel is the flys. The are round the pool and constantly annoying you whilst trying to chill out on a sun bed. The staff are all friendly will try to please you. All in all we had a good holiday, weather spot on. I am not sure I liked Egypt enough to go back but worth the £419.00 that I paid for a week.
Before I go just to say another draw back is the entertainment. There was a couple sang most nights in the lobby bar which drove us all in sane. Good for chilling days go to nama Bay for nights.
