Stayed at this hotel 12-19th November 2006 and thought the place was absolutely brilliant. The facilities are excellent and the staff genuinely couldn't do enough for you. We've never been made to feel more welcome anywhere else we've stayed. Its VERY difficult to say anything negative about this hotel but I feel its good to be objective so hear goes.....
Its perhaps not the most suitable place for those with difficulties in mobility.
The building work next door is a little annoying but to be honest it isn't really noticeable unless you are down near the beach or scuba diving on the house reef that stretches out in front of the building plot.
Finally and probably the most annoying is the russians...... I've never come in to contact with them before on holiday and hope I never do again. They are rude, in your face and tend to stay in groups of 10 or more!!!! They treat the staff terribly and its a shame because the staff are so pleasant and helpful.
Anyway enough of the negatives. If you are looking for a relaxing, well maintained hotel and genuine 4 star treatment then this is the place for you. The food is excellent with a varied breakfast selection offering just about everything you could want. Lunch and dinner also offer the same exceptional choice. We never had the same selection twice and we stayed for a week! There is an italian restaurant under the main restaurant called Il Rustico, they make a brilliant pizza from scratch right in front of you. All the food is fresh and never reheated or warmed as we have found in all inclusive hotels in the past.
The bars are also very good with excellent service (the staff are always smiling). My favourite being the sunset bar where you can relax and even sample a traditional Shisha pipe complete with egyptian tobacco! The weather was in the late 20's in the day and warm enough at night to sit out in shorts and T shirt. The sea temp was 26 degrees every day (important to know if your an avid diver like myself).
This brings me onto my final point..... You must try the scuba diving!!!! Even if its just the tester on the house reef after your pool induction. Its absolutely amazing, if you've never dived before you won't believe what you will see, its just like you see in the books!!! The staff at the dive centre are very friendly and will do anything for you. The instructors are also very professional and totally commited to safety and enjoyment.
I really can't recommend this hotel enough !!!

The Hilton Sharks Bay is a Great Hotel with excellent staff , the food is ok as you will always find something to eat .If your picky head for the Italian resturant downstairs from the main resturant or head for the sandwhich bar on the beachfront.DON'T book your holiday with LIBRA or HOILDAY EXPERTS they took my money for a seaview room and gave me a pool view .Book with the hotel direct don't book with the either of the companys above.
The diving and snorkeling is great as the visibilty is amazing to 2-3 mtrs.The Hardrock cafe in Nama Bay is good pricy drinks but the food is cheap and of a very high standard.

stayed here from the 11th till the 18th November, the place is great,amazing snorkelling,try the lazy day boat trip and the quad biking.
the staff are really genuinley nice, and helpfull.
building work is going on but we only really noticed it on one day
food is plentifull and very good
lots of russians, rude and loud but plenty of friendly brits
the sunset bar is lovely after a hectic day sunbathing
i am booking to go back asap

We have just returned from a weeks stay (12th Nov - 19th Nov) at the Hilton Sharks and fully agree with the previous reviews .... its FAB.
The food is good and plentiful, the rooms are a good size and clean and tidy, the staff are very helpful and friendly and resort itself it is very well set up allowing you to do as much or as little as you like.
We opted to do very little with the exception of a snorkelling trip, organised by the hotel and this is a must, as the fish and coral at the hotel are nothing in comparison which those off shore!
The weather was good around 27 to 28 degrees most days and only cooled down at about 4pm when the sun went in, however it was still warm enough to enjoy an early drink at the sunset bar!
I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel.
