The hotel complex covers a large area with beautifully laid out gardens, our room was in the sports complex which was across the main road (M25) and a ten minute walk to breakfast. For those wanting absolute peace and quiet this area of the hotel is not for you,we suffered the droning of a B52 from the water plant across the road and the louder than usual air conditioning units on the roof of each block.
We found the rooms to be of an adequate size and cleaned daily, staff were all polite and helpful,we somehow missed out on the bowl of fruit and nuts had to make do with a bottle of water, however our daughter did receive a cake on her birthday which was a nice surprise.
We stayed BB as you can eat cheaply and there is plenty of choice, look out for Dananeer where seafood is strongly recommended.
Back to breakfast, enough choice to suit most tried to avoid eating my body weight in buns just because it was there.
The waiters appear to be trained to remove plates and cuttlery if there is a 5 second delay in any movement whilst ignoring empty tables that have been left laden this created a shortage of available tables which we found some mornings.
This hotel like many suffers the towel on sunbed syndrome, which if you cant beat them join them,we always found sunbeds!
Having stayed previously at the golf resort which has a superb swimming pool area, this hotel is more for location to Naama bay and the beach if you prefer.
Our holiday was excellent value for money we would stay here again, avoiding the sports area next time and parts of the palm area which could prove to be very noisy from the nightlife.

“Not so special Maritim”

Jolie Ville Resort & Casino Sharm El-Sheikh

I have stayed in this hotel before when it was owned by the Movenpick hotel group at which time it was classed as a 5 star hotel and the classification was correct. Now since its change of ownership to the Maritim the group it has definately slipped it's 5 star crown to 4 star at best. Some rooms are very tired with fixtures and fittings badly in need of replacement, draws that open by themselves and wardrobe doors that fall off, being some examples. The management to be fair have attempted to paper over the cracks by introducing flat screen tv and free satalite. Staff have been retained and are still friendly but lack motivation and management. The excellent central location of course is the draw, but again would suggest you avoid rooms in the Sports and Palm Court areas, walking through the gate from this area into the town realy is like walking through the wardrobe, it's another world.

“Excellent family holiday”

Jolie Ville Resort & Casino Sharm El-Sheikh

Stayed in the Jolie Ville with my wife and two year old daughter in the first week of March.I've been wanting to go to Egypt for some time but the wife took some convincing as her preconceptions of Egypt meant that she didn't see it as an ideal holiday destination.
In my opinion it is an ideal winter sun destination and the Jolie Ville is an excellent hotel.
Our room was completely adequate and modern with a massive and very comfortable king sized bed with quite easily slept all three of us a flat screen tv and a nice modern bathroom.
There was tea and coffee facilities which came in handy for heating up bubby's bottle and we found the sport and movie channels a real bonus considering with a two real old you're in your room from around 9 every evening.
The pool area is fantastic and with plenty of loungers and a heated pool which is always welcome in the winter months and I have to say it's where we spent most of our time.
Yes,it was a bit of a walk to the pool area but it is through immaculate gardens and a great bit of excercise to burn off last nights dessert.
The resort of na'ama bay is small enough to get around and there is a lovely promenade that stretches all the way around the bay great for an evening stroll where you can stop for ice cream or to play in the kids playground.
The buffet breakfast was fantastic especially considering there is a kids playground inside the restaurant so we could enjoy our breakfast while our daughter was playing with the other kids.
The restaurants in the resort were great with alot of variation we especially loved the hard rock cafe as a family experience with great burgers and ice cream and lots of things to keep my daughter occupied. At the end of the night the bill came to less than €25 - happy days.
I'd also happily reccommend pomodoros and dananeer restaurants and we found the likes of mcdonalds and kfc really handy for a quick lunch.
Weather while we were there was perfect for the whole week with max temps between 25-30 deg celcius.
So, as i said, in my opinion a perfect winter sun family holiday destination and an excellent hotel choice.I wouldn't go near the place in summer it would be far too hot.
Jolie ville in March - Highly reccommended!

“Absolutely Loved The Jolie-Ville”

Jolie Ville Resort & Casino Sharm El-Sheikh

From trip adviser yorkshirelass7

Stayed at the jolie ville from 28 march-11 april and can honestly say it was love at first sight. As soon as the bus pulled in to the hotel I had a good feeling and I wasnt dissapointed.

Check in went smoothly and quickly and we were taken to our room which was an upper floor room in block 17 on the main walkway between reception and pool area. The room was very spacious and clean with a large double bed and a flat screen tv. For some reason we also had a bottle of water in the fridge, bowl of fruit, dish of nuts flowers and a bottle of wine with a courtesy card from the manager. We also had the bathrobes and slippers which we thought you only received if you were returning visitors.

Hubby wasnt too well for the first 3 or 4 days so we did have to use the room service for food a few times, We found this very speedy with a good menu and reasonably priced.

The housekeeping was fantastic, we had bed and towels changed daily and more often if needed. Our housekeeper was a very smart young man who was always polite and friendly and never tried to rush you out of your room to clean. He waited until you left the room but was always about in case you needed anything. Another young man called every night about 6.30 to see if you needed anything and to close your curtains and turn your bed down also gave you your goodnight chocolates.

The gardens and walkways are absolutely beautiful and are constantly being cleaned although they are never in your way. they were even polishing all the marble walkways in the middle of the night.

All the workers (buggy drivers pool attendants, bar staff, beach staff and security) are so friendly and happy and will do anything to make your stay there a good experience.

We were on a b&b basis and found this brilliant, there was so much choice, actually im a very picky eater and even i couldnt find any thing to complain about.

We never had a problem finding a sunbed either by the pool or on the beach and it was really good having good clean towels supplied daily.

We also got 2 invites to a bit of a management get together with drinks and a buffet. (Ithink this is something else that is usually for returning guests)

We might have not been returning guests on this occasion but we will definately be returning again. As soon as possible.

Probably lots more to say but cant think of now. Please feel free to ask any questions.

Overall one of the best hotels we have stayed in and anyone going there is in for a really fantastic holiday.

“Fabulous”

My husband and I went to this hotel for a week on a half board basis and we were very pleased with what we got........So much so that we are going again in April with our kids...........It is absolutely immaculate and the gardens are fantastic........The rooms do need upgrading but that is happening now with no disruption to the guests as they do 1 block at a time to minimise disruption..........The public areas were kept pristine and the cleaning of all floors etc was done in evening to ensure that gusets wee not disrupted...........The food is superb and you cant fail to find something you like to eat............However we are going on a b&B basis this time as we missed out really on all the fabulous places to eat that are very cheap. The beach bar has a happy hour 12-1 and 7-8pm everyday.........Drinks were on the expensive side £3 for a bottle of beer is rather extortionate especially when the same bottle is 80p in the shop outside the hotel entrance and I paid £4.80 for a cocktail!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.A good thing to remember if you are going in this area is that just along from the jolie ville beach bar there is another called the Gazala and they do happy hour from 5.30-8.30pm with ALL drinks buy 1 get 1 free and are cheaper than jolie ville prices.........It also serves delicious fish dishes at reasonable cost............If you are gonig to this hotel avoid the rooms in the palm area as these directly back onto the main street in naama bay and several holiday makers told us it was awful with the sound of the towns nightclubs booming till 4am. If you are going to book any excursions then the Red Sea Cruise is a must........Fantastic snorkelling and a decent meal served on board for £35 each we shall be going on the trip again when we return in 2 weeks time. There are loads of fish just of the jetty on the beach directly in front of hotel and plenty of sunbeds all day. Overall the most relaxing holiday we have ever had and I wouldnt hesitiate to recommend this hotel. We are told as well that as returning guests that you do get several perks so we are looking forward to this..........e.g. chocolates wine and flowers in room with bathrobes and a meal with the management at no extra cost............If you are doing any trips with an early start and tell reception the day before they will make you up a lovely breakfast bag containing fresh fruit water juice bread rolls boiled eggs and cake that you can pick up from reception. The only complaint I do have is that the waiters are not very helpful and on several occassions we were ignored and felt the need to complain to the restaurant manager who was very apologetic and assured us that it would not continue..but it did!!!!!!!!!!! But hey you cant everything!!!!!!!!!
