We had a great 2 weeks at the Hotel Jolie Ville Resort & Casino in Sharm, end of Feb/beg of March. Our room was big, immaculately clean and very comfortable. The hotel was great, very pretty with all the lights in the gardens and around the pool. All the staff were brilliant, friendly and very helpful. Our room was in block 17 which was halfway between the reception and pool and ideal. There was some renovation of the blocks near to the pool area going on but it was mostly screened off from the guests, though it may have affected those around them. We were glad to be on the beach side of the road mainly because we spent loads of time on the beach! There's no need to take any beach towels as you get a towel token and can exchange this for a towel at any time - lovely Egyptian cotton towels too! The breakfast was fabulous - fresh omelettes, pancakes, waffles, all made while you watched plus some yummy pastries, buns from the bakery (well, you are on holiday!) and loads of other breakfast goodies. We had nice meals in Zigolini (the Jolie Ville Italian Restaurant), Pomadoro, Kanebesh (beach side), and definitely worth a visit is the Indian Restaurant at the Sofitel Hotel at the far end of the resort (be sure to book and ask for an outside table - you will not be sorry). We booked the one day Red Sea Cruise with Thomson and had a great day on board a lovely cruiser with 3 very professional divers, and saw some fantastic reefs and fish on the 3 snorkelling stops that we made. Would advise hiring the wet suit as well as snorkel and flippers (I think it was only £10). We got a much better rate of exchange over there so don't change you money before you go. We met some lovely people on our trip and will definitely be going to Sharm again and to stay at the Jolie Ville.
