Recently returned from a week in the Jolie Ville, chosen by location and previous reviews. Mixed feelings on the hotel. We had to change rooms as ours was overlooking the service road - bins etc and was well below par on the decoration. We later saw that the rooms were in the middle of a bit of an update in as much as the furniture was resprayed and new curtains.
This is by no means a 5* hotel - I would say it is probably a 3+* to a 4*.
BEACH - nice situation, clean but some broken beds and hammocks.
ROOMS - good size but very dated and well in need of the current spruce-up. Bathrooms still looked dated however. No tea or coffee altho' mugs and kettle provided plus a fridge. No bathrobes, slippers or extras (usual with a 5*). Rooms very clean
GROUNDS - lovely, and spotless everywhere.
Location for Naama Bay night life - excellent although rooms in the annexe back on to the town.
BREAKFAST - pretty basic, but fresh with something for most tastes. (we were B&B only)
STAFF - Overall very helpful although care should be taken at the beach bar where my change was not returned even after prompting, but it wasn't worth making a scene. We signed for all our drinks after that.
I have been critical only on our expectations from Travel Agent descriptions and other reviews.
We enjoyed our holiday and might stay here again if we ever came back as our expectation would be lower.

Just back from a fantastic week at Jolie Ville. We stayed on a B&B basis, and the choice at breakfast was extensive, there was something for everyones taste, even the fussiest of eaters would be impressed. We didnt sample the food in the hotel in the evenings, but a couple we met on the first day were half board, and they were extremely happy with the food offered for their evening meal. Different themed evenings throughout the week. Both breakfast, and Dinner are served in the Orangerie restaurant close to the pool, and beach entrance.
The beach bar has a happy hour from 12 noon till 1pm, and again in the evening from 8pm till 9pm (if i remember correctly)
The Seagulls Bar,which is situated straight across from the Orangerie, also has a happy hour from 9.30pm till 10.30pm.

The staff here were outstanding, always a smile and a warm greeting,no matter what time of day,and nothing was too much trouble for them. I have stayed in various hotels around Egypt, and I have to say the Jolie Ville has been the best so far.
Our room was close to reception area, and faced a small road leading to the annexe, which i thought may disturb our sleep at night, but we never heard a thing. We had 2 balconies, one of which had the sun all day by 10am so a nice place to sit if you dont feel like sitting around the pool. I may add that i was pleasently surprised to find that the pool was heated,as i found the sea to be a little bit chilly for me at this time of year. The rooms have a kettle and mugs, hairdryer and a safe.
The gardens around the hotel were beautiful, and very well maintained, and the scent from the Jasmine was wonderful. We even had an orange tree outside our balcony, which by the end of the week was missing a few oranges :-) maybe they ended up on the table at breakfast, or some guests were light fingered, I dont know :-D

We had a fun evening in Casino Royale, well worth a visit.
The Jolie Ville also has a bakery, which serves waffles to die for,and i highly recommend you have at least 1 during your stay.

I will definately be returning to this hotel in the future, and would go again tomorrow if i could.

“Best Hotel in Naama Bay”

My husband and I are just back from Naama Bay after a fabulous week. We stayed at the Jolie Ville Movenpick (now owned by Maritim hotels) and this was a superb hotel with beautifully -kept public areas and gardens that took your breath away. Staff were all very good humoured and friendly. We were on a bed and breakfast basis - breakfast served in the Orangerie had food to suit everyone's tastes. I am very fussy with what I eat but I gave this place 10 out of 10. The hotel is in a perfect location with one exit taking you right on to the beach (best stretch in Naama bay) while the side exit takes you out to the centre of the resort. Best meal outside was at a place called Vino's - recommended by the Thomson rep. There is an "off-licence" just outside the hotel called Drinkies where you can buy a decent bottle of local wine for around £5 - otherwise wine in the restaurants tends to be quite expensive. You will hear the noise from the nightclub which is not in the hotel grounds (despite you feeling that it's right below you). The place doesn''t have a roof and that's why the sound carries....... - a small blip on an otherwise excellent holiday.

“Our best stay in Sharm yet”

Jolie Ville Resort & Casino Sharm El-Sheikh

Just returned from a fantastic stay at sharm (our 5th time) and had to share our thoughts about the Jolie Ville Resort.
This hotel has everything, the rooms are spotless, even got flatscreen TV in your room !
The gardens are immaculate and well kept.
Dont worry about what you hear about egyptian food as the hotel restaurents are spotless and the food was superb,
The private beach is probably located on the best part of the beach within the bay ,and lovely and sandy .
The hotels location is perfect for walking into Naama bay during the day or at night.
The hotels Coffee shop has lovely pastries and desserts and well worth an afternoon visit.
If you have been to Sharm you will know that the snorkling is amazing and not to be missed.
We will definately be returning to the Jolie Ville and if you are going you are in for a 5 star treat.

Staff in general very friendly and attentive.
Accomodation fair, not 5* though.
Food very average, 3* and the breakfast is a fiasco.

Grounds in general nicely laid out and attractive, be aware this is a big hotel and it is about a 10 minute walk from the far side to the beach, crossing a busy main road, this wasnt a problem for me, but for older people it could be, however you can phone for a golf buggy to pick you up free of charge.

Now to the real crux of the matter, you are within 5 minutes walking distance of Naama bay, which would be handy but for the following,
1/ On the hotel beach you are just relaxing and you get hassled by newspaper salesman, not just once but dozens of times everyday, constant shouting "hey english, Italian, Norwegian, German, you want paper, only one pound" and this goes on throughout the day, sometimes you get asked 5 times in the space of a couple of minutes.
2/ Walk into the centre and you get dragged into shops by them taking advantage of our polite Britishness, they shake your hand, say how lovely it is to meet a british person, invite you in for Egyptian hospitality, which is a cup of tea, you feel obliged to wait and it takes forever to come, and as soon as your sat down the shop owner is over and telling you all about his lovely family business, and hassling you to buy cheap overpriced tat and telling you how offended they are if you dont buy. You end up having to be rude to get out.
So be warned, there are people on the street who are paid just to charm you into their shop, then they disappear.
3/There are hundreds of restaurants, very few better than average, The Camel Bar and attached restaurants are recommended.
4/ Be aware prostitution is common and fairly blatant out on the street, which gives the place a seedy feel.

I would go back for the diving, but wouldnt stay close to Naama Bay, a day trip is enough, but night time is decent for the night life.
