Arrived back early hours this morning at Gatwick.
Fantastic hotel, great views nestling on the edge of the Red Sea.
Friendly and helpful staff - eager to please..!!
Room was great, I have got fantastic thigh muscles after the daily hike up and down the stairs...!! (The resort is set on about five tiers leading the the beach/reef of the Red Sea). This never bothered me, but may deter older visitors (they do provide a wicked buggy service) or disabled.
Red Sea cruise - snorkling was fantastic - beautiful reefs. You gotta do it..! Whilst my g/f sunbathed on the boat - I was swimming with a few stingrays..! About £40 per person with buffet food and soft drinks included - and it lastest a good 6 hours..!
I was pestered a fair bit by the locals "How many camels for your lady...!!" lol...luckily she is brunette - if your blonde girls - look out..!! I handled it with a firm 1 million camels - they soon got the hint..!!
Food was good - but not great, my personal favourite was the waffles for breakfast with maple syrup drizzled all over..! (You don't go to the gym pre-holiday for nothing...!!)
Cleopatra water park is a fun day out - good for catching the much needed tan..! Not as established as water parks in Europe, however it was an entertaining afternoon in the sun.
I usually go on 4 Star All Inclusives and find myself wandering away from the hotel (waist of time being All In..!).....The bizarre thing was I went B&B on this 5 star - and found myself sticking to the complex for the majority of my holiday....Ironic...!
The grounds are simply picturesque, overlooking the Red Sea, I read someone moaning about some the the floor tiles being chipped - big deal, get a grip...!
We had a wonderful time, sad to leave as usual, lovely setting to rekindle the love..!!
Great having a B-Day in the room to give your feet a quick rinse also....!!
