I did some research before booking this hotel and reviews looked good but then came along a new manager,Food was very very repetative ,no themed nights nothing to entice you back in ,the salad bar was a disgrace all the salad was smelly ,like when you have left a lettuce in the fridge to long that smell,Beer at the big pool bar was ok all other bars it was warm or flat, the big pool bar now shuts at 5, yes 5 just when you fancy a drink after a hard day on the sunbed. The animation team were told to stop the entertainment at the big pool which in the past was great, And then there was TAP TAP TAP TAP workers laying and cracking tiles all day a few feet away from your sunbed , Then THE LAST STRAW a worker started spraying all the fencework with varnish around the pool area which then came all over us on the sunbeds ,we got this stopped, not by the manager as he could never be found .If you book the italian restraunt book the 7 o,clock sitting so afterwards you will still have!time to go for something to eat in the main restaraunt[you will need it].As for the hotels dive centre totally unproffesional ,no check dives just give us your money and lets go,not acceptable for a high risk sport. On this holiday i spoke to a lot of regulars whom none of them will be returning nor shall i ................................

We, a family of 4, 2 teenage boys, have just returned from a 10 day holiday at Sultan Gardens. We loved it and could not fault it. The team of staff that Basel has working with him is by far his biggest asset. They are so warm, friendly, welcoming and very attentive, we hardly had to lift a finger for anything. The bar staff and restaurant waiters always managed to remember your drinks orders and usually not even having to ask for another, they just seemed to magically appear. The pool guys always managed to find the sun beds for us and an umbrella as required, they just seemed to appear out of nowhere. Nothing was ever too much trouble; if towels were not immediately available, they were always brought over to us and laid out on our beds as soon as another clean batch appeared, usually no more than 5 minutes later. One of the barmen was so friendly and helpful, I don't ever recall our glasses being empty, that by the end of the holiday he was more like a friend to us all.
The food was different every lunch time and dinner, and my personal favourite, at dinner time there was no sight of a junk food station for the children ie pizza, burgers chips etc, so there was no temptation for my children to live on junk! Chips are availabe at lunch time at the snack bars but that was it. We thought the food was lovely, hot and varied and plenty of it regardless of what time you chose to eat. Maybe not as spicy/fragrant as we would have liked it but then they are catering for everybodies tastes, not just ours! The mashed potato was a firm favourite of my sons! The accommodation was fantastic, we had a villa, very comfortable, spacious and light and airy with fantastic views and always very quiet. The private beach area is not huge but that wasn't an issue for us as we prefer the pools anyway. We don't usually return to the same place twice as there is so much of the world to see, but for a spot of diving and to recharge the old batteries we will definately be making an exception to this rule. I can't remember the last holiday we had when we were sad to leave and wanted to stay longer. They really do know how to look after their guests and you really are treated like their guest - not as a paying customer. We feel that this is the secret of their success.

This is a fantastic hotel to stay in for a relaxing family break. The hotel location is great and it is absolutely huge with 4 massive swimming pools and a private beach. We were greated by the staff from the moment we enetered at the hotel service was certainly 5 *. The rooms and all inclusive food and drink is also to an excellent standard.

I would certainly recommend this hotel for a family or even friends. The animators provide plenty of entertainment and also take the ones who want to go clubbing out every night!

Will definitely stay there again

I always check trip advisor before I book anywhere we go, and with the reports on the Sultan Garden I did not hesitate.

First trip to Egypt and it will not be our last. The hotel was excellent and the staff were fantastic - from the cleaners up to the managers - nothing was a problem for any of them. They all worked so hard to please. Our junior suite was very spacious and had a pool view. The food was really good and I am a fussy eater and had no problems - my scales tell me half a stone!!!!!! So that says it all! The entertainment was OK, not brilliant, but when you take into account all the different nationalities staying at the hotel, you could not possibly cater for everyone. I enjoyed the entertainment and so did the kids. We never left the resort at all during our week. There are trips available if you wanted to venture further. We did not even go in to Namma Bay, as we had heard you can get a bit of hassel. We did not feel the need at all to leave the Sultan Garden as it had everything that we required for a nic chilled out week.

Me, my husband and two kids age 13 had a wonderful relaxing holiday, kids loved the snorkling on the beach - the fish are amazing.

At the end of the day a holiday is only what you make of it.

We met Basel and what a lovely person he is and is always looking for ways to improve the hotel.

I had emailed him on a few occasions prior to our holiday and asked for an airport transfer and tea facilities in our room on arrival - sure enough all was done.

We will certainly be booking for next year to return to this hotel, as I am sure if it continues the way it is it can only get even better!!!!

Looking forward to visiting again next year.
