We went in the Easter holidays as a party of ten including six teenagers and children. The hotel is extremely well run. Alvin the manager ensures that the service is efficient and attentive without being overbearing and the rooms while not luxurious are huge, extremely clean and supplied with all the necessary comforts. The pool area is spectacular and pristine although if the hotel were full there could be a shortage of sun beds. The beach is beautiful and well maintained in front of the hotel but litter strewn beyond its boundaries. It is extremely quiet and restful and not for those looking to be entertained. The bar area provides pool/snooker darts and board games but the chairs are rather hard and it is a little uncomfortable to sit and chat in. The set menu dinners were quite tasty but we did feel the portions were over large and much of it was wasted. The staff was very helpful about substituting dishes for the children. Prices for drinks and lunches were very reasonable. Without exception all the staff were incredibly pleasant to deal with but a special mention must go to Waleed (Little Willie) who made it his business to ensure we had a great holiday. The Swisscare calls itself “a little home by the sea” and it certainly has the special feel of a catered villa as opposed to a resort. We loved it and would certainly return.


The children did diving courses with African Divers next to the hotel, even our 9 year old did a “Bubblemaker” pool based session. Daniel and Sarah were extremely professional and good with them all.

Second time going and we were welcomed like family, had a great time and have come home rested and relaxed. The food has improved 100% since last year the chef is doing a good job keep it up. Do not know what Harebellers are on about there was fresh bread every morning made on the premises. The staff as always were happy to do anything to keep their guests happy which included having a football match with sinbadjo's sons, as you can imagine a real hardship for those hardworking boys Ha Ha. The service excellent and nothing is too much trouble we will be going again. If you want peace and quite, sun, beach, pool, snookering/diving and like minded people this is the place to go. However if you want Blackpool go to Sharm

Just returned from a holiday to Swisscare----------Had an absolutely chill time.
All the staff were spot on and nothing, ever, is too much trouble,even down to giving me a lighter when mine had ran out!

As for the previuos review saying there's no atmosphere-what a load of rubbish---------the whole ambience of this hotel is Peace and Quiet; you do as much or as least as you like.

We had a many a good night in the bar----------a real good laugh with the bar staff and Alvin----------especially the pool tournaments!!!!

This time we visited Pharoahs Island which is not to be missed! It's absolutely stunning!

Where else can you stand and be surrounded by four countries----------Egypt, Israel, Jordan and Saudi Arabia----------You can even see the Jordanian flag from the island-----------on the way back stop and have a drink overlooking the most beautiful Ffiord. A really enjoyable day out.

Alvin is a mine of information about the local area and anything you want to know just ask-he will go out of his way to help you.

I won't go into the details about the suites etc, as anyone that has read previous reviews will already know how clean and spacious they are, plus all the facilities they provide.

Swisscares' pool has in my opinion, probably got to be the best in Sinai-IMMACULATE!

If you're lookin for a relaxing, peaceful, chill out holiday,with lovely food, on a fantastic beach------Look no further!

All I can say is hope it never changes and we'll be returning soon---------The sooner the better!

On paper (or this website) the Swisscare seem to provide exactly what we like in a holiday - good food, service, snorkelling in a peaceful environment. Unfortunately it didn't live up to the hype!

Food - very disappointing. Breakfast consisted of bread which wasn't fresh, lemon juice (no orange juice here!), fruit salad in yoghurt, eggs and a plate of cheese. Don't have the eggs scrambled, they're as hard as bullets. Dinner was just about edible and served in large portions, but sadly not an enjoyable experience. No choice at all and most main courses smothered in tomato sauce and over-salted. If you like desserts which I do, you will feel especially let down. No cakes, chocolate mousses or even ice cream. But lots of fruit salad, presumably left over from breakfast, served in a variety of ways - in a pastry case, in yoghurt, in pancakes, with something called mousse, but resembling blacmange.

Atmosphere - there was none and not many guests either. The hotel only 1/4 full. We were the only people in the bar in the evening. The dining room only ever had people seated at a few of the tables and was very quiet.

Beach and reef - On a still day, with the sun shining, the view from the beach was good with a sparkling sea overlooking the red mountains of Saudi. But walk 2 mins in either direction and you see lots of litter and several half finished abandoned hotels.
The coral on the reef was good, but not many big fish there. It is quite far out though so not good for nervous swimmers.

Weather - Sunny but very windy on most of the days we were there, making it too rough to swim, and very noisy on the beach with the wind rustling the sunshades.

Service - in fairness very good. The waiters were friendly and efficient.

Room - large and reasonably clean, but not luxurious. The soap was awful and the only other thing provided was small sachets of shampoo.

Gardens - need more water so the grass is dying.The whole place looks like it needs more money pumped in.

Overall - boring, boring, boring! It is the only holiday I've been on when I was counting the days until I went home.
