I have just recently come back from Sunrise Beach Hotel and would highly recommend it as a relaxing holiday destination. The hotel is very clean and the staff are lovely, you will always see teams of workers cleaning the pathways, gardens and generally making sure that all areas are very presentable to the guests. Although there are not a lot of English people in the resort this did not bother us, most of the guests are Russian or German. I was really impressed with the price of the holiday. With the three pools you can find a spot around one of the pools to relax in the sunshine. The restaurants offer a wide variety of food and you will always find something that you fancy. If Diving I would recommend that you use a company called Oxygen who are not based at the hotel, speak to your rep for the
contact details.

If you are after a late night then the bar has it's own fab DJ who will play what ever music you like. The flaming zambukas are a killer.....be warned!

Wow, where do i start. Never been to egypt before so did`nt know what to expect. The hotel is beautiful and big so never seems busy and it was full whilst we were there. It was cleaned to a very high standard, the staff were so helpful and friendly and really look after you. the only thing i could probably find fault with was the food. It was very much geared towards the germans and russians but we always found something to eat. My 7 year old did struggle though and mainly lived on pizza and chips but she is a little fussy. The italian and the egyption restaurants we visited those afew times. The entertainment was good and the animation team reaaly work hard. My daughter never went to the kids club because she said no-one spoke english. It is mainly russians and germans but we never had any problems. The pools are great, the heated pool was abit too warm when the temp was touching 38. Never went in the cold pool. The beach is lovely and we always got a sun lounger. If you tip the towel guy at the pool he will save you your beds the next day. He did it for us every day. The slides do shut at 4 but we were ready to go back to the room by then anyway. We did also get imported brandy which is alot better than their local stuff. We went to gifton island it was just as described. It was like a paradise and the snorkelling was great well worth a visit. We also went on the desert buggies again well worth doing. The last trip we did was to luxor it was a long and tiring day but good and very hot. At the end of the trip you have the option of going on the nile this is a deffinate must. Luxor was nice although i would not go again. Overall this was a quiet relaxing holiday and i would definatly go back i didn`t want to come home. This is the best holiday i have had. If anyone has any questions im happy to help

This was my first trip to Egypt, so I have no idea how Sunrise Garden compares to other hotels in Hurghada, but please do not expect anything remotely similar to a 4/5 start hotel in the Western world.

Negatives:
I have to believe the comments about the FOOD quality in Tripadvisor are either fabrications or you people are seriously deprived of the basics in life. The main buffet is a culinary and public health disaster. In general, the sit-down restaraunts provide edible food, but in no way could it be considered "good." I have travelled for business and pleasure throughout Europe, Asia, and North and South America and this was about the worst food (especially the buffet!) I have had anywhere. I wonder if the hotel would just try to make good Eqyptian food? I have been living in Kyiv Ukraine for the past 3 years and have never had a meal here worse than at the Surise Garden.

The pool hours are incomprehensible. The temperature was 28 every day and was perfectly sunny, but the pool/slides are only open from 10:00 to 16:00 every day. There was never actually a lifeguard posted at the pool, so I am not sure what they are trying to prove by closing at 4 in the afternoon. It's not like it costs them any money to stay open until the sun goes down!?

Don't believe any rumors about imported drinks. They has none whatsoever the entire week we were there. The locally produced Admiral's Whiskey was interesting.

Positives:
The beach was nice, the staff was generally helpful and polite, and the grounds were pleasant. The rooms are clean enough, but a bit tired and in need of renovations.

The price is right. But always remember, you get what you pay for.

Overall the place was OK, but I would not go back by my own accord.

“Truly fantastic hotel”

Sunrise Garden Beach Resort

Just come back from a fabulous week staying at the Sunrise Garden Beach. We booked with Thomas Cook sort of last minute and what a great hotel this is.

As soon as we set foot off the coach the staff were attentive, we checked in which was a quick procedure, we were shown to our rooms and the luggage was brought up to us pretty much straight away (small tip given for such an efficient service).

We went down to the buffet restaurant which admittedly the food wasn't brilliant but it was edible. However, the italian restaurant is well worth a visit and we went there 3 times during our week. Snacks around the pools/beach are also pretty reasonable varying from pasta, chips, pizza, kofte sandwich, chicken, steamed/chargrilled vegetables, hotdogs, calamari, ice cream and cakes.

The rooms were very spacious and very clean, the cleaner worked for most of the day and was very pleasant, speaking to us each time. The staff at all the various locations throughout the hotel were very helpful, pleasant and spoke good english (they do tend to like english people and always perk up with a smile when you say you are from England).

At the bars they do a range of cocktails which are worth trying (alcoholic and non alcoholic) and very refreshing on a hot day. All the water comes in sealed bottles and you just walk up to the bar and ask for however many you want, you do get given all inclusive cards but we were never asked to show them.

When down by the pool/beach the hotel provide towels so no need to pack, you get supplied with a towel card for each person and hand these in to towels guys and get given a towel. At the end of the day you can give to towel back to get the card or you can keep the towel for a few days. There are 3 pools, one large family pool (heated in winter), another large pool with a swim up bar and then a small training pool which gets used for the taster lesson for scuber diving.

All in all this is a brilliant hotel and i would recommend it to anyone.
