Been there twice and now looking for something else only because think the Hilton a bit tired and food definitely "iffy"! Both of us had Egyptian tummies for a couple of days and that's quite a lot when you're only staying a week. No entertainment at all and no-one is ever in the bar. Room perfectly adequate and has good tea-making facilities which is a definite plus after a hard day at the beach!! A beautiful beach that is very safe and clean.
We found a couple of restaurants on the other side of the bay past the lighthouse past eel gardens that were clean and served lovely food. All in all a lovely holiday where you can more or less be assured of the weather. I would not hesitate to recommend it.

My wife and I have just returned from a week's stay in the Dahab Hilton and had a great week.

The room was spacious and clean. The hotel was not too full, despite it being UK halfterm week and there was always plenty of room at the beach and restaurants. There were lots of kids around doing their mark warner stuff, but this did not bother us at all, and we had been expecting it. The sea in front of the hotel was clean and clear, and the area roped off from windsurfers and boats was more than big enough for casual swimmers.

The staff were very friendly and always willing to help. Staff at the diveshop even went out of their way to help us organise our own trips to the blue hole and south of the hilton.

The restaurants at the hotel were perfect for breakfast and lunch, but going into dahab town in the evenings gave us more options, more atmosphere and better value. Alladins and Friends Restaurants, our two favourites gave us discounts off the menu prices as well as throwing in free starters, deserts and a pot of local tea to finish...

Having been to dahab with a few mates 8/9 years ago I was worried that it might have lost some of its charm and laid back atmosphere, but despite the fact that it has grown a bit over the years, I was very happy to find that the overall feel of the place has stayed the same! I was very happy that i chose to go back, and enjoyed the stay at the hilton too!

The Dahab Hilton is nowhere near as refined as it looks in its promotional pictures. The pictures appear as though it has large infinity pools when in fact that water is off limits to swimmers and they call it a "lagoon." The actual pool is very ordinary. The rooms are average at best with small bathrooms and small bathtub shower combinations. The dive shop is very unaccommodating and very overpriced. They list two places they will go each day and will not vary. 95% of the dives are shore dives which when you get to the dive site you will find that you will be joined with hundreds of others from other dive shops --the difference being that you often paid at least double what those people did for the same dive. Finally one could hardly call the hotel relaxing as it caters to very large Russian and English tour groups. One would be much better off staying at one of the more upmarket hotels in Dahab. Dahab is an interesting backpacker type town and some very good restaurants. Also there are many dive shops which will give you reasonable rates and customized dives.

Just come back from a week at Dahab Hilton and would not hesitate in recommending this hotel and indeed mark Warner to anyone who has kids. Food was excellent and the choice was superb with the main restaurant, Mirage offering theme nights throughout the week. Staff were friendly and extremely helpful.

We travelled with our one year old daughter and were concerned beforehand that food would not be up to standard - we could not be any further from the truth. One of the chefs took it upon himself to puree food for our daughter to the point he would look out for us at each mealtime.

The Neptune restaurant was particularly good with good choice of fresh fish that would be prepared for you. Eating at this and the other Italian restaurnt could be done for a small supplement of £5 pp.

Childcare provided by Mark Warner staff was excellent as well

We were spoilt rotten and will be going back ourselves soon. This is a statement from someone who has never been to same place twice.
