“Totally disappointed”

Wyndham Skyline Tower

I am a timeshare owner at this location and in the past my family had a great stay. We stayed here from July 3 through July 6. Problems began with long waits to get your car unloaded and parked. Check-in was smooth until you reached your condo to find that there were only 2 towels for 8 people. Towels weren't delivered until 10am Friday morning. Five of us had at least 4 hour drives after working all day. No showers that night. Things got worse. We were on the 26th floor and sometimes we waited more than an hour for an elevator and this wasn't during peak times. Don't visit this resort during peak times unless you don,t mind walking down 26 floors. I have stayed here numerous times and this experience was a nightmare. One good thing they did was to reduce the parking fee from $10 to $6. The only thing you didn't have to wait for was your car because it was waiting for you.
Bring walking shoes and catch elevators going up so you can ride back down!

“Great Location, more than a hotel”

The Skyline Tower is located next to the Resorts Casino and Trumps Taj Mahal. The condos are spacious and include everything you need for a comfortable stay. The outdoor hot tub was our family's favorite way of spending the day and the pier amusement park was the trip's highlight for our four year old. I do have to mention to the elevator situation (long waits, often crowded) can be annoying at times, but once you get to where you're going, you quickly forget about it. The staff was mostly hospitable, except for one lady at the Activities desk. The resort takes care of the parking for $6 per day and your car arrives quickly after your request. Overall we were very pleased with our stay at this hotel

“Wyndham - Disappointed”

Wyndham Skyline Tower

2 of 5 stars
Chicago, Illinois
Jul 1, 2008

After reading the reviews, I was thrilled to learn of a well-rated family friendly hotel in Atlantic City. I pre-paid for two nights at the end of June.

Maybe my expectations where too high. While the room, a one-bedroom with kitchen was spacious, there were so many other things that bothered me at the property that I was very disappointed in this selection. After traveling on the east coast for two weeks with my family and being very, very satisfied at similar properties (Hilton Garden Inn, Residence Inn, etc.), I would not have selected this Wyndham if I had know the following: inefficient elevators requiring very long waits (this property is being marketed as a time-share of sorts so there is a tremendous amount of people traffic), no daily maid service, way, way overly scented room-cleaning products that took at least 24 hours for the scent to go away, windows in the bedroom that wouldn't open (although there was a nice sliding door to the balcony in the living room), no coffee shop/restaurant on the property, wireless Internet on the 6th floor only (and mine didn't work and there was no "tech" support to help trouble shoot).

“Wonderful place/location for great family location”

Atlantic City Trip report.

We stayed at the Wyndam Skyline tower in a 1 bedroom condo that overlooked the beach, Taj Mahal and Resorts casino hotels. Our room had a king sized bed (very comfy) and a private Jacuzzi and sink in the bedroom. The common bathroom had a regular sized tub in it and was a nice size for 2 people to move about comfortably. The room also had LOTS of closet space and an updated cosmopolitan décor of greens, browns, and blues. The balcony was nice for reading and people watching. The pull out couch was just ok, but the kids didn’t really complain. The room also didn’t have a washer and dryer inside as they had some free ones on the 6th floor.

The resort had a pool indoor where the water was very warm, (but the opened the windows so you got a breeze from outside, and the warm sunlight) and a hot tub on an outdoor area (like a rooftop) that played jazz, had a nice Jacuzzi and was peaceful from the noisy pool area. You can also look over this area to a beautiful view. Kids were not allowed in the Jacuzzi’s nor were jumping in the pool allowed. They had someone watching the kids to make sure that no excessive rough housing was condoned.

We didn’t have to many gripes with the elevator issue as we were in room 1005 which allowed us a brisk walk to the 6th floor where all the activities were, or down to the 1st floor to go out to the town. When we were ready to leave we called the bell hop up and waited about 10 minutes and got a no frills ride down to the 1st floor.

The resort had lots of activities for all to enjoy…we loved karaoke (with free beer!) Some other activities offered where bingo, ice cream social, wii game tournaments, Charades, win, lose or draw, black jack tournament, kids corner (where they watch your kids for free 2 hours) and a wine and cheese reception….and much more.

We took our kids with us and turned Atlantic City into a family vacation. We went from Thursday to Sunday and enjoyed the following activities. A day trip to Wildwood (Morey’s Piers) it was a 40 min ride and worth every minute…it’s a large boardwalk with tons of things to do over a beach…they also had fireworks. We also went to the lighthouse, Ripley’s Believe it or not, The steel pier, and the beach to play in the sand. We ended the trip with eating a scrumptious breakfast (the best pancakes ever! ) at Perry’s and lunch at White house subs (more of the best ever subs), and sadly driving home after a fun field weekend.

“Great Girls Getaway”

Wyndham Skyline Tower

Jun 20, 2008

6 of my girlfriends visited Atlantic City as a long weekend getaway. We loved the Wyndham Skyline Tower! We had two suites which were right next to each other. Everything was very clean, although one of the suites smelled of smoke covered up by air freshener. The covered pool area was a little disappointing, and we opted for the beach instead. Compared to some of the large Casino Hotels on the boardwalk it didn't have nearly the amenities and excitement, but we enjoyed it nonetheless.
