My wife and i flew out from Manchester on Sunday 09/09/2007 with My travel . We had paid for the upgrade to premiair gold, and we were both very disapointed with the service we got.
The aircraft was very dirty and the staff , well lets say monkeys could have done a better job.
We stayed at the Holiday inn Yalong bay , and it is a great hotel to stop at . The staff always speak and are very friendly and will do anything to help you, there is a small problem with their english and they are willing to learn from you, but if you have any problems there is a good english speaking member of staff at reception.
The food is of a very high standard and you can go back as many times as you like , the BBQ around the pool is a must, with free beer you cannot go far wrong.
The trip to Beijing is a real eye opener to the westners, as many of the Chinese have never seen us , and they do like to take your picture, and have a look to see how big your nose is , and that is what they call us (big noses)
We did a trip to see the terracotta warriors at Xian, we have to arrange this by ourselfs and it worked out about £320 pounds , this would have been alot cheaper if the reps had sold it, we got the feeling from our rep that it was alot of effort with no comission for him.
Our rep was called Rob and he`s a waste of space , if there was no comission in it for him he was not intrested in it , but if their was any freebies like food and the foot massage he was there, and there is so much to see and do in and around Sanya.
The flight home was very event full when we were both given the wrong seats after a near mutiny, we was aloud to sit in premiair gold and that is what i had paid for, the cabin staff was very rude to alot of the passengers.
My advice is go to China soon , before it gets to commercial and do not fly with My travel, because they are the worst in the airline in business.
