We have just returned, very reluctantly, from the Palm Tree Resort. What a wonderful experience, we were very impressed with the resort everything, it was exceptional well above our expectations. We had a sea facing room which really overlooked the gardens but that wasn't a problem.
Our room was a tremendous size and the added touches of pastries, fruit and wine in the room upon our arrival was a lovely addition. The room was exceptionally clean and modern and our room attendant took care of all our needs. The grounds were also a pleasure to walk through.
We ate in the La Fontana every morning and most evenings and the food was plentifuly and very tasty, we had absolutely no complaints. We did try the buffet restaurant next door at Jebel Ali which was also good but we preferred to dine on the terrace at the Palm Tree.
The hotel wasn't too busy except for the Friday it got a little busier so there was no problem with sun beds or umbrellas around the pool or on the beach. There was a constant breeze off the gulf which really cooled things down.
The construction next door was a non-issue and we didn't even know it was taking place. My only complaint were with the peacocks which roam the grounds, unluckily for us they slept on the roof of our building and they liked to talk to each other in the middle of the night!
The shuttle bus to the malls was a benefit although we found the shopping experience very disappointing. We took a 1/2 day tour of Dubai and the car picked us up at the hotel and returned us later on. Well worth the trip. We didnt mind the commute out to the resort which was about 45 mins since we were looking for a very quiet and restful time.
No problem with the bill upon check-out, we didn't know service charges would be added following every meal but it was relativley small and not a problem. We had the mini bar cleared out upon arrival so we could store our own wine and water which worked perfectly.
Travelled quite a bit in the last few years, Egypt, Thailand, Africa etc but I would strongly recommend this location to anyone looking for a real relaxing time. We had such a wonderful experience we are thinking of going back next year.

We stayed at the Jebel Ali Palm Tree Court from 9th June 2008 for 1 week, this was our 5th time.
Ok the main hotel looks a bit tired, but the Palm Tree Court lives up to its reputation of offering quality rooms and a great location.

We stayed in a Royal Jasmine Suite with butler service, which was not as it seems, these guys are on hand to book reservations for you, do all your running about for you if that is what you require but a fantastic set of people, they are pleasent , helpful, and there when you need them.

The food was great and plentiful as much as you could eat, albeit another post stated they did not give you enough or quality that i found to be totally incorrect.
The restaraunts and bars are good with good and friendly staff who cannot do enough.
The Palm Tree Court is a great place to relax and enjoy being well looked after

When we arrived our seafront room was not available so they offered us a free buffetstyle dinner as an apology and we stayed in one of the non seaside rooms. Can happen. The next night we moved into the seaside construction zone. Right across from the resort they are buildig the Jeleb Ali Palm island and it goes on all night long......all night long. You go to bed and wake up to the sounds of construction trucks sirens. Holiday bliss.....? The hotel's response was some people are not bothered by it and we mention it on our website. So if you don't mind construction noise all night long or the feeling that you are an idiot for not knowing that Dubai is under construction for the next 5 years then the Palm Tree Court is the place to be. Funny the next palce we stayed in Dubai was an oasis of luxury and lack of construction noise

This is a wonderful hotel. Compared to the main Jebel Ali Hotel the facilties and the rooms were well above par. The staff were first class and attentive and when I arrived and throughout my stay, I felt I was a superstar and if travelling from England I will always stay in this hotel.
