I'm in the hospitality business and I just wish I could take my staff from the US there to show them how a REAL Hotel get's thing right.From the minute they picked us up in the BMW 750il at the airport until they showed us right to our room it was a charm.
This hotel was rated 5 Star on the internet....I assure you the person who gave the Stars never stayed there.It would be considered 6-7 Stars in the States.
We've stayed at The Wynn in Vegas 5 times and I work for the company that owns 6 properties in Vegas and all I can say is Mr. Wynn should take a trip there.The staff would never point out the direction where to go they would take the time and effort to show you exactly how to get to your destination.
Restaurants very incredible.Drinks were a little expences but I knew that going into the country.
Dubai was Great....and my wife and myself would return to this hotel and no other when we return.

We stayed at the GH for one night while in Dubai. We spent most of the week staying with family in the Marina area but wanted to experience a beautiful Dubai hotel before leaving. 99% of our experience was fabulous.

-Excellent service from the staff
-Beautiful decor everywhere
-Spacious rooms
-Wonderful beach at the Royal Meridien
-FANTASTIC breakfast buffet at the mezz. restaurant
-Very accomodating - our flight out wasn't until after midnight so they stored our luggage and then let us use the spa to change / refresh before going to the airport
-Airport transfer included with club room - nice BMW 7 series

We booked a club room, and other than feeling that it's not worth the extra money, everything else was great. We felt that the airport transfer and breakfast made the club room more worth it, but we were terribly underwhelmed by the club lounge. Especially since the champagne and canapes were only offered for a short period of time when it was open (rather than the whole time in the evening), so we just couldn't get there. I think next time I would just book a regular room.

So, all-in-all it's a beautiful hotel with excellent service.

This was our third time at the Grosvenor and we did debate long and hard as to whether we should try another hotel in Dubai, but in the end we decided to go back. Glad we did - it was as good as ever.
We choose the Club Room again which I would definitely recommend - afternoon tea in the afternoon and canapés and drinks in the evening. We booked through Expedia and were a bit confused as it said breakfast was not included in the Club Room rate - but it was, in either the Club Room or Sloanes Restaurant.
The pool is even more shaded this year as another tower block has gone up but you can still get sun around or near the pool until around 4.30pm if you know where to go. We did end up going to the Meridien a few times if we wanted to sit out for longer. The shuttle bus has to now take a slightly longer route as the road layout has changed.
Buddha Bar still worth a visit.
They have started to dig the foundations for the second tower which I would imagine will be quite a disruption when it begins to go up so check on the progress before you book. They did start drilling early on the day we left (6am) which might have woken us up if we hadn't been leaving - despite being on the 32nd floor.
Overall - still a great hotel but in a year's time...?

Our return trip to this hotel was just as good as last year. We were upgraded again to an apartment this time. Club lounge well worth the extra money. The hotel staff all friendly but not intrusive at all, and all willing to go the extra mile for the guests. The guest loyalty manager Cynthia at the sister hotel the royal Meridian deserves a special mention, she was so accomodating making us several reservations prior to our arrival, nothing is too much trouble. The staff make this hotel what it is, a great place to stay. Construction is there as before but we knew this before we went to Dubai and it does not spoil our holiday at all. Rhodes Mezzanine well woth the money for a special meal!!!!!!!!
We will be back and it will always be the GHH for us!!!!!!!!!!
