We really enjoyed our stay at the Posada Lazos Fuertes. The rooms and the hotel were sparklingly clean, the staff friendly and professional, the breakfast (included in the price of the room) is served from 6:30-10 and included banana bread, toast, cereal, bananas, papayas, oj, coffee, and tea. Purified water, coffee and tea were always available. Perhaps best of all, ALL of the proceeds from the hotel benefit safe passage which strikes me as a well run NGO helping kids whose parents work in the Guatemala City dump. Good location close to the buses coming in from Guatemala city and a 3-4 block walk from the central plaza.

We found this wonderful hotel by recommendation when we arrived in Antigua and what a superb place! It has a lovely colonial feel, centrally located, REAL Hot showers (which is hard to find in Guatemala) and best of all the profits of the hotel go towards supporting a charity that works with the kids of the Guatemala city garbage dump.
The staff were friendly, and always available for any questions (they speak english) and the rooms were spotlessly clean every day! A definite recommendation for anyone looking for a nice mid range hotel!
