The hotel is by far to expensive for what it offers. There are better places in Lima. Was there for two nights. Next time somewhere else by knowing more about Lima now.

We stayed in the Libertador in mid July for three nights. It was situated opposite the Los Delphines Hotel. We were part of a tour so, since we do not know the rate paid, we cannot comment on value for money. It seemed to be very quiet and staff were very helpful, efficient and attentive.
Breakfast was adequate and the bar lounge was cosy and served snacks. Rooms were spacious and CNN and BBC World were available on TV. Taxis (luxury) waited outside and 4 US dollars took you most places in Lima. The Country Club next door was superb for dinner. All four of our group were very impressed by the standard of service and quality of food there. There was a Starbucks nearby too which proved useful on several occasions.
Libertador, San Isidro Golf (there is a view of a golf course) is not the most lively or colourful of hotels and it does not compare to the grandeur of the Libertador hotels in Cusco or Arequepa. However, we had no complaints and we enjoyed our stay with well trained and courteous staff.

This is a fine hotel in San Isidro, directly next to the famous Country Club Hotel and across from Los Delphines, another good hotel. It offers an excellent value for the money
The hotel is rather businesslike, but the rooms were very spacious, extremely comfortable and offered many amenities. The breakfast buffet was very good. There are a number of other restaurants in walking distance, and a Starbucks, a drugstore and ATM next door. (Americans will appreciate the KFC and Pizza Hut within a few blocks).

Incidentally, Carlos (I don't know his last name) a driver/guide loosely associated with and recommended to us by the hotel, speaks excellant English and took us to many nice spots in and outside the City. His rates are not low for Lima but the quality of his services were outstanding and made our stay much more enjoyable.

Also, having stayed in both areas, I personally like San Isidro more than Miraflores for a stay in Lima, as it is quieter and more residential.
