I booked for 2 nights on a transit through Singapore. i arrived at 1.45 pm, only to be told by reception that i was not able to check in becasue check in was at 2 pm! for the sack of 15 min i choose not to argue and took a seat. At 2 pm i was informed that there were no double rooms. I pointed out that i had requested a double room, and that twin was not adequete. I was told that they would be able to provide me with a double, however i must wait for it to be cleaned and come back in 1 hour. I smiled...and did as they requested.
I Returned to the hotel 2 hours later, i attended reception and was given my key card to the room. service was with a smile and i was directed where to go. when i entered my room i was angered to see a twin room, despite waiting so long. it was 2 beds pushed together , not even made up as a double. i immediatly returned back to reception. upon my return i spoke with the smiling receptionist, i told her my problem however she claiemd there were no double left. she then got the first receptionist (stoney faced) and she told me i would have to accept it, and that it was "hollywood" style. Upon hearing this i was even more angered. i had been reasonable and accepted there request to return. at this point i asked to see the manager. 2 minutes later i was given a new card, to an upgraded room.

I had done my booking in advance from india, mumbai. I reached the hotel at 7 in the morning. At the reception i was told that my agent from india had booked on the 29th, but on the 30th of september there was a cancellation. I was told to ask my travel agent to fax them again before 1 pm or there would be no room for me. The reception staff took the advance deposit of 100 singapore dollars and i was asked to come again at 10 a.m. I was waiting in the lobby for over 2 hours without the room with my son who is just 4 yrs old. When i approached them at 10, i was in for a shock when the hotel people told me that they did not have my booking at all. In the mean time i called up my agent in india and told her about the problem. She spoke to the reception staff and after 15 minutes the staff tells me that they do have my booking and finally i was allowed to check-in. Imagine the staff did bot even have the decency to apologise for their mistake. On top of all that 1 day my wife asked for some help reagarding some sight seeing to Mr Kumar at the reception. He told her that he cannot entertain as there were other guests waiting. This is the type of service this hotel provides, i would advise people that they should never go to this hotel.

The lobby is good, the rooms are just about OK and the bathrooms are not so great. The travel guide who sits in the lobby is helpful and arranged good sightseeing trips
