'stayed here last holy week break with my family. it was not as bad as i am expecting. the room was kinda small though we were given a suite. i've realized that the front desk staff is very rude. specially the fat chinese girl with the eyeglasses. also when i asked the manager about the toiletries, he said that i should get it in the front desk. what a manager! the breakfast? nothing much being served to us. sausage, fried rice, bread, congee to name a few. if you need a hotel just to sleep and to leave your belongings, then oxford hotel is the perfect place for you.

and are not to picky about how your room looks, this is the place for you. from the hotel, its a less than 10min. wak to bugis, city link, marina, and suntec. it's literally at the middle of everything in the city. there is also a new MRT station (bras basah) 4 buildings away... once this becomes operational, the hotel location is perfect.

cant say the same about the rooms though. filipinos looking to book this hotel... its like one of lower tier motels. the other reveiwers were right. it was shabby... old carpets, an old tv with no cable, musty smell. at least the toilet was ok. the place really needs a lot of work.

Whatever you do - if you still have time, change your reservation and DO NOT STAY in this hotel. Filthy dirty (not kidding), rooms not cleaned, burn holes in sheets, dirty pillowcases... Breakfast is inedible. Need we say more! It was an awful experience...

Once we checked in, we thought it would be okay for 2 nights because we would not be spending any time there other than sleeping....but even that was TOO much.

There are many options at a BETTER price in the same neighbourhood.

Without doubt, this IS the worst hotel that I ever stayed in my whole life! The room is dirty and cramp! The minute I opened the door, the smell is so strong that I immediately call for change of room, and of course as usual, the staff at reception said all rooms are booked, therefore, no change is allowed.
You can see the stain everywhere....the bed sheet, the chairs, the table, curtains, the toilet walls and floor, the carpet...believe me, the stains are everywhere.
The room I had got a leaked aircond vent, so I had to change to another in the middle of the night! There is no slippers, no laundry bags, no fridge. Do yourself a favour, pay a little more at Carlton, which is nearby and closer to shops.
The staff is so dumb arse that they had no idea or whatsoever is happening to the rooms, all they can say was rooms are fully booked.
I had to wait outside at the corridor when the cleaning staff clean up my room at 3.30pm because they forgot despite I had placed the notice early in the morning when I go out.
This is a hopeless hotel and I dont think anyone should come back there again since the hotels at Chinatown is about same price but much better in condition.
