Whatever you do - if you still have time, change your reservation and DO NOT STAY in this hotel. Filthy dirty (not kidding), rooms not cleaned, burn holes in sheets, dirty pillowcases... Breakfast is inedible. Need we say more! It was an awful experience...

Once we checked in, we thought it would be okay for 2 nights because we would not be spending any time there other than sleeping....but even that was TOO much.

There are many options at a BETTER price in the same neighbourhood.

Without doubt, this IS the worst hotel that I ever stayed in my whole life! The room is dirty and cramp! The minute I opened the door, the smell is so strong that I immediately call for change of room, and of course as usual, the staff at reception said all rooms are booked, therefore, no change is allowed.
You can see the stain everywhere....the bed sheet, the chairs, the table, curtains, the toilet walls and floor, the carpet...believe me, the stains are everywhere.
The room I had got a leaked aircond vent, so I had to change to another in the middle of the night! There is no slippers, no laundry bags, no fridge. Do yourself a favour, pay a little more at Carlton, which is nearby and closer to shops.
The staff is so dumb arse that they had no idea or whatsoever is happening to the rooms, all they can say was rooms are fully booked.
I had to wait outside at the corridor when the cleaning staff clean up my room at 3.30pm because they forgot despite I had placed the notice early in the morning when I go out.
This is a hopeless hotel and I dont think anyone should come back there again since the hotels at Chinatown is about same price but much better in condition.

The room is small, the towels are not clear white even though I ask for a change. It looks like the towels were not washed. Only have a few TV Channels. The immages were not sharp, lost signals quite often. I do not enjoy staying there.

I had a confirmed reservation at Oxford Hotel for the night of Sept 28 2007 which I had booked through [--]. Upon arriving at the hotel that evening, I was told by the front desk receptionist that the hotel was fully booked for the day and they had to house me in their sister hotel.. which she claimed was "merely 10-15 mins away by cab" What she had failed to tell me (even after I had asked repeatedly) that the sister hotel was located in the East, near Changi Airport, which is a long way out from the city!!

The sister hotel, Changi Hotel was a badly run down and old hotel in the middle of nowhere.

The experience had ruined my entire trip and I'll definitely stay away from Oxford Hotel on my future trip to Singapore
