I stayed at New Park Hotel for honeymoon with my wife and spent for 2 nights. The hotel is located in Little India area which is quite exciting for us. The lobby is very clean but there is not enough cushions to sit and wait.

My room stayed on 16th floor which newly renovated. So the room is so clean and fantastic. However, I could not sleep from 7:30 am every morning because they are still renovating other rooms! Plus there is another buliding construction opposite the hotel. So you can imagine how they create the noise!

The hotel is very near MRT (Farrer Park Station) so it is very convenient for us to travel to Orchard, Sentosa and others.

I had travelled to Singapore twice and stayed twice in New Park Hotel (not of my own choice, but booked by the company). The experience is not anything good to write about. The bad experience started the moment I reach the front-desk for my room allotment, my flight reached Singapore around 6:00am and I am at the hotel around 7:00am. Inspite of having a prior booking, the front-desk people told that no rooms are available till 12:00pm. This is the same experience I had in both my travels. So you can't do anything, just wait in the hotel lobby till u get a room. Stay is otherwise OK in the hotel, breakfast is very normal. Good thing is that they have an Indian Vegetarian counter, but if u stay for a week then u know whats the menu for everyday. This hotel is suited only for single business travellers only. Rooms are very old, plumbing is very noisy. Sleep is difficult to get as whole night you can hear people walking, talking in the lobby.
Overall the hotel is just a place to crash after the days work.

If you are on a budget and aren't planning to be in Singapore for long then you won't mind this hotel. Just don't come expecting luxury. The rooms are in desparate need of some redecorrating especially the carpets and linens.

I was lucky to get assigned one of the "family" rooms on the 6th floor which are much larger than the stardard rooms (which I have stayed in previously). The room has an extra area with table and chairs, a king bed and separate twin bed along with with the separate powder room area and bath. The closet space is also doubled in size.

The hotel is in convinient area near Little India and the Arab part of the city. The subway is a quick walk away to get you the rest of the city.

The pool area is decent in size and there is a small fitness room which worked decently.

The room service was always prompt and there was wireless internet on my floor (for a fee).

Not impressed - the tour desk was the best part! (They were very helpful and efficient!) Room was shabby and not very clean. One plus - great vegetarian Indian restaurant nearby, very clean and yummy cheap food (can't remember name but near Mustafa's and large premises - street behind New Park). Also close to rail for cheap and efficient travel into the city - just a couple of minutes walk to station, few minutes on train and you are in the centre of the city.
