I stayed at the Grand Hyatt for a long over-night lay-over on my way back to the states, so I really only spent less than 16 hours at the hotel. The lobby and public areas were great and the room was big and well-designed. Nice firm bed and a cool work area with windows looking out. (The construction project mentioned by other reviewers was still going on outside my window, but it didn't interrupt my brief stay.) I was in the new tower, so I can't comment on the older rooms.
The room decor was great and the mini bar well-stocked and not too expensive. WiFi service (once it was working) was good.
Check-in process was slow and delayed due to a computer problem. The lack of working computers meant that my in-room internet was inoperative and a bell boy tried to deliver someone else's luggage to my room. (The internet problem was only solved after two phone calls over 30 minutes to the support line.)
Location was great (apart from the construction zone). It's right off the main shopping strip. Some reviewers have complained about cold or indifferent service. I got only a slight sense of that, but every time I needed help and asked for it, I got it (concierge, bell boy, turn-down service, etc.)
All in all, I'd stay there again.
