Stayed at Traders for 2 nights in November en route to Australia.
First impressions were good - nice big bright entrance and foyer, effecient check-in, polite staff.
We had a twin room looking out over the front of the hotel on a higher floor. The room was fine, well furnished with comfortable beds, nice bathroom. Tea and coffee making facilities were of good quality and clean. There were robes etc.
We used the restaurant near reception that night as we didn't have time to go searching and had just arrived from Heathrow.
The food was ok, though as it was right at the end of their dinner period it probably wasn't all it could be. Service again was ok, probably for the same reasons.
Used the same area for breakfast the following morning, there was an excellent selection of fruit, savoury dishes both asian and european, bread, pastries etc. Had some outstanding porridge - just how I like it. We paid about £12 each which seemed reasonable for what we had.
Had our evening meal at Clarke's Quay the following evening. Took a taxi there. Enjoyed the atmosphere there, nice pedestrian area, quay side walk, lots of restaurants and all the Xmas lights. It's best to have a taxi booked for return as there was a large queue at 10.30pm.
In all had a good experience at Traders, would use it again, it's also within a short stroll of Orchard Road and there is a little shopping mall adjacent to the hotel. There are coffee shops there where you could have breakfast etc. The pool area and restaurant nearby looked good also but didn't use these.
