Have just returned from a 7 day stay at the Regent and can endorse the positive comments made in earlier reviews. Will definitely stay again when visiting in 2008.

There is some construction ongoing opposite the hotel but this was not a problem.

Me and my 2 kids aged 14 and 17 stayed at The Regent for 3 nights and had a wonderful time. All personell is ever so helpful and friendly. During our last night I got quite sick and the manager on duty arranged for a late check out so I had time to recuperate. But even with the late check out we still needed to wait a couple of hours before we could head to the airport so we went to the pool where the poolboy built me a very comfortable bed to lie on. Next time I will definitely stay at The Regent again: location is quite but within 5 minutes you're in ever bustling Orchard Road, people at reception and the pool couldn't be more helpful, attentive and friendly, the room was very tastefully decorated and a good size and the atrium is beautiful.
Shop around on the internet for bargains, we booked through alpharooms.com and paid less than I would have for a 3 star hotel through expedia or hotels.com.

We have stayed in this hotel 2 different times and areplanning to stay thereagain in January of 08. The rooms are lovely, the staff friendly and cooperative (they know your name every time that you return) and it is conveniently located. It is a Four Seasons quality hotel without the attitude.

I stayed at the Regent for 5 nights in mid July.

The guest rooms were spacious. My room was off one of the side corridors from the Atrium, and was very quiet (apart from my neighbours having a shower at 1am!).

The breakfast buffet is amazing - everything from English fried breakfast to porridge, pastries, cold meats, pancakes, japanese miso soup, rice & pickes, local delicacies and even just cereal if that's what you want.

The staff are all very polite and courteous and nothing is a problem for them to sort out.

There is a wireless network which works throughout the hotel.

The Bar is great, and served better Singapore Slings than Raffles. Also has a huge selection of Whisky.

Location is brilliant - close to Tanglin Mall, and Orchard Road.
