Just completed a 3 night stay at this hotel on business. Good location; less than 30 mins from the airport by cab, 5 mins in a cab from Bar Quay, maybe a few mins more to Clarke Quay.

Great level of service from all staff. Was upgraded to a great suite with views of the shopping mall. Club Lounge is comfortable. Only had chance for a quick swim...pool is good but maybe pool area is a little on the small side if you are there for a while.

I would stay here again.

To break up our trip from London to Sydney with small child we included a 3-day luxury stop in Singapore here. The room was simple, perfunctionary and faultless for our purposes. We prepayed around 1000 Aussie for 3 nights, and were slightly miffed to have to hotel unsuccessfully attempt to charge extra for an extra bed for our son, despite accepting our money for a 3 person room. That annoyance aside the staff were friendly and helpful. All the toiletries were L'occitane which seemed a good reflection of the hotel's class. Good pool (too deep for a small child who can hardly swim, so it wore him out !!). We didn't eat there due to our need one day to pay off our mortgage.

Super classic hotel with excellent rooms, super service, and lovely pool area. The Intercontinental is just next door to Busig junction (shopping area), and walking distance to Raffles and Chimes. You do need to take the metro (which is very close by) or a cab to get to the good part of Orchard.
I can strongly recommend this hotel - one of the best I have ever stayed on (and I do about 500.000 airmiles a year).

We stayed here just before Christmas and loved the hotel. It is an oasis of calm in this busy place. Very convenient for Burgis village. The rooms were a lovely size and the service excellent. Do a deal to include breakfast if you can, we did and were able to thoroughly enjoy the amazing buffet breakfast with everything you can think of, and then some. My only "gripe" was that the water in the bedroom was SIN$12 a bottle, so if you like your water then buy some at the supermarket in the basement of Burgis Village attached. The pool is not very exciting but it is somewhere to layback for an hour or so before setting off again.
The rooms were very quiet, I am very sensitive to noise and I did not hear a sound. I commend this hotel to you.
