It was a full 45-minute ride from Jogjakarta Central to get to this resort. When we arrived we all were pleasantly surprised with the resort. It looked clean, modern, and peaceful.
The Check In was really quick. The staff gave each of us the key to our room and a welcome drink.
The rooms were really nice. It was huge! Each room has two 160x200 springbed, a living room, and a desk, each with ensuite bathroom and walk-in closet. The hot water takes a while to run.
It was raining hard that afternoon, so I decided to book for a sitting dinner. I called the front desk to set up the dinner. To my surprise, he said that the restaurant was closed. So I asked for a room service instead, and he said that the kitchen was also closed...
I was a bit annoyed knowing that my family and children got stuck up there, far away from the center of the city, and the resort didnt provide any food. He even suggested that I go to the city if I want to get some food!
What kind of resort offers no relaxation knowing the guests can not order any food from the place?
Finally I found out that this resort is more suitable and more accustomed to COMPANY meetings, gatherings, reunion, etc. Not for private group like mine.Everything has to be reserved upfront when you are making reservations. Including breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Not long after, one of the staff called to say they are willing to cook us some rice or instant noodle if we wish. Very nice offer that shows they are thinking for a solution.
The next day, I took a look around the resort. It was clean and very peaceful. I could hear the birds chirping and soft music playing from the strategically-located-speakers. The pool was nice, wish it was a heated pool.
Next time I come back to this resort, it would have been with a hundred other people... maybe for a lush garden party?
