Stayed in standard room and there is nowhere to store suitcases - in fact no room to store anything. Would not stay there again unless I was on my own and even then unlikely. Room however was clean and location was good.

ServiceWe had been roving around the hotels in Hong Kong due to a hotel shortage. We could only get one or 2 nights in any place so I am quite well qualified to comment on hotels in HK - between the ones we did stay at and the ones we looked at but couldn't get a room in I must have seen rooms at 10 different hotels.
The Mingle is awesome! The rooms are small but keep in mind that rooms in HK are just really small! Don't expect too much in the budget to mid level range when they say "double bed". I've seen single beds that are bigger than the doubles at some hotels.
Whats good about the Mingle:
* the torrential shower (I may travel like a backpacker but I like my strong hot showers)
* very central location and close to shops (mainly wedding stores) and restaurants. Short walk to Tsim Sha Tsui
* the price - great value for bduge accomodations
* guys will love the electronic everything - all controled through the TV (did I mention the TV in the shower?)
* the huge and comfy queen bed
* Above all else - the place is super clean! So new and clean, which is even more rare than a cheap hotel room in HK.
One thing to watch out for. Only book this place if you are super comfortable with your travel buddy. The place is uber modern and has a frosted glass bathroom. Of course it makes everything fuzzy but if you are taking a shower with someone sitting on the bed (right on the other side of the glass) they can still see quite a lot! I can imagine that guys might check in liking the electronic gagetry but then the voyeur feel to the bathroom situation might be a challenge for some.

Business serviceActually is this my first night staying at this hotel and wanted to share what a surprise find this is. The rooms are definitely small, I could barely fit two pieces of luggage (1 medium & 1 large) without blocking my only pathway to the door but I really like how its clean!
This place must have been recently renovated as it looks fresh and almost new. Or because not many people know about this yet. Room rates are decent compared to what you can find in HK but knowing the standard of room vs price, this is a good deal. On average I paid HKD850, my package is minimum 4 night stay.
The easiest way to tell the taxi driver how to find this is mention Stanford Hilltop hotel and its just on the right hand side street. In between two Irish pubs.
There's a supermarket on Kimberly road which is 2-3 minutes walk from hotel. Close to the main strip of Tsim Sha Tsui.
Ashame the "indoor" pool is closed during winter (??).
I've posted some pictures as well.
Dislike - small room and the difficulty walking up the sloped street to get here.
Like - free wireless internet, on demand movies/mtv from your room and cleaniness of room.

Business serviceMy Daughter and I stayed at the Mingle for 3 nights. At first it felt a bit weird as the rooms are so small, but when you get used to it and see all the great stuff they have packed into the room it is really well designed.
I did not like the corridors and lobby etc as they were so tiny and cramped.
Good location, the guys running the show where friendly, I good choice if the price is right.

Business serviceWe stayed at the hotel for 2 nights in deluxe. The room was ok, not too big but also not too small. The staff was quite nice and the service center was very helpful and attend our problem, which was quite a few. The location of the hotel was great, it's located near a lot of restaurants, shopping places, and there's a good money changer that offered quite a good price for US$, it's also near an MTR just a walk around the block.
The moment we arrived at the mingle and wanted to check-in, we were quite shocked when the staff said that they didn't have our reservation, which we actually re-confirmed 2 times via telephone 2 days before and 1 day before. It was quite a shock for us and they didn't give us introduction about the hotel and it's facilities which is just a small detail but it's quite affecting our judgement for a hotel.
It's a nice small high tech hotel, but the staff seems to have less knowledge about the tech in the hotel itself, such as the fingerprint recog which i actually asked after i got into my room and saw the fingerprint recog device near the door (and it's also seem that the device didn't worked cause we still need to swipe our card upon enter).
There was also problem with our A.C cause it's making noise in the night which disturb our sleep and in the morning the floor underneath the AC was dripping wet. But the service center fixed that problem right away in the morning for us nicely.
I recommend this hotel if you're young people (single, couple, friends), not travelling with families (babies), full amenities of a hotel (internet (wireless signal is poor, but cable's connection is quite decent), movie, small kitchen, lcd screen, bathroom tv, tea making eq, etc)
I don't recommend if u want good pool, really good service, comfy bed (it's not too soft).
Overall it's good hotel, but a bit overvalued cause they didn't live up to the expectation of their ads, I will take this hotel as my reserve if my primary hotel in HK is full :)
