“This hotel is GREAT!”

Stayed at this hotel for three night. Fantastic from one end to the other. Would love to go back here some time. We travelled with two children, one fiveyearold and one ten month old baby. Our daughter had stars in here eyes the whole weekend. The staff, the room, the food, the surroundings - everything was immaculate. The breakfast with the characters was fun but a bit stressfull- we didnt eat much! Fun food for the kids and lot of choices in beverages, fruits, cakes and hot food. The park and the maze outside the hotel is very nice. The hotel atmosphere is one of a kind. Disneymusic in the background in the elevator, in the hall, the staff with names like "Cupid", "Angel" and "Princess" and the decor of the hotel that makes you feel like a princess - or prince. Bus to the park from the front of the hotel. Not far from the airport either. Only twenty minutes.

“My children did not stop smiling”

Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel

We loved our stay here. We checked in and Cinderella and Princess Aurora were in the check-in area letting children meet them – my 3 year old daughter’s eyes nearly popped out of her head and she was grinning like the Cheshire Cat. We stayed for 3 nights. The room was a nice size, the indoor pool was lovely, the location and shuttle service to Disneyland were excellent and the breakfast with Mickey Mouse, Pluto, Minnie Mouse and Goofy in the morning in the Enchanted Garden restaurant was a fantastic experience. It is not just a stay in a hotel, it is a unique experience and one our family of 4 will do again and highly recommend. The look of excitement and enjoyment on my 2 young children’s faces was a priceless experience.

We took the MRT into Kowloon and it was quite quick and easy to do. If you do so I recommend buying a day tripper pass.

“Magical Disneyland Hotel”

Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel

Jan 18, 2008

we stayed in this hotel for just a night (December 27, 2007).. on second thought, I would have loved to have stayed longer.

Staying in it was like every person's fairytale come true... everything was 'magical'... the little touches that the management have added certainly added to the 'magical' feel of the hotel.

One 'minor' flaw in our otherwise perfect stay was the fire alarm that went off in the early morning of the 28th. As I was watching TV, my mum was doing her 'morning ritual'... fire alarms suddenly went off. Lucky, that we had the robes provided in the hotel to cover our state of undress as we hurriedly gathered our bags with all our valuables e.g. passports, wallet, camera etc.

We stayed outside for approximately 45 minutes, without a clue as to what was happening, the thing that pissed me off was there was nobody from the management to officially explain what triggered the fire alarm. If there was fire in any part of the hotel or, if it was already safe enough to return. We had to follow the trickle of guests who decided to go back in.

It was a 'pleasant' enough stay.... ask me if I would go back, I would definitely say YES!

“Enchanting Experience at HK Disneyland Hotel”

Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel

5 of 5 stars
Singapore, Singapore
Jan 15, 2008

We stayed at the Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel from 10-12th Dec 2007 and were very pleased with the overall experience. We booked the Fantasia Room through the internet 2 months before.

Having stayed in Mongkok earlier, we decided to take a taxi to the Hotel as we were traveling with 2 kids (5yr & 1.5yr) and several luggage. It would be cheaper taking the MTR line. But we figured that the transits with kids, luggage and pram would not be easier with the MTR - we were on holiday after all!

What struck us upon checking-in were the tranquil settings within the hotel grounds. We were unsure if it would be more crowded at other times of the year, but the peacefulness was a good welcome after a few days of very crowded shopping experiences.

Our Fantasia Room was spacious. The toilet was huge with a jacuzzi. We thought the addition of the kids stool at the sink was very thoughtful. The room was very clean and the Victorian deco was very tastefully done. However, there was no detachable shower head for bathing the kids and the cot that we requested was also small for our younger son. The cot's base height cannot be adjusted downwards as our younger son can stand on his own and could possibly climb out. Despite getting the help of their very prompt housekeeping service, we just had to make do with the cot provided. The cot's was really meant for an infant baby.

The view from our hotel room was excellent! We had a good view of the beautiful hedge maze and a partial view of the sea. The hotel also had a back gate that allowed guest access to the concrete path along the sea.

We ate dinner at the Crystal Lotus restaurant (a la carte) and had buffet breakfast at the Enchanted Garden restaurant the next morning. Enchanted Garden had Disney Characters appear for photo taking with the kids. It certainly was better than queuing at the park itself! Enchanted Gardens would require an earlier reservation, as we found out on the first night. The breakfast buffet spread was sumptuous, but as adults we were pretty distracted when the characters appeared for photo taking with our kids. Because of its popularity, we guessed the hotel had split the breakfast time to be 7am-9am and 9am-11am. We took the earlier timing thinking of spending more time at the park - However, we love waking up late on holidays and naturally found ourselves rushing through breakfast when told that the next crowd would be coming at 9am.

We found that the 10min interval shuttle bus would first stop at Disneyland hotel and then make its way to Hollywood hotel before the Disneyland park itself. We noted that at Hollywood hotel, the queues for the shuttle were much longer and they would probably wait longer.

Our family would always enjoy a little luxury during our holidays and staying at Disneyland Hotel gave us the perfect opportunity to pamper ourselves. Not considering our full day at the park itself, the tranquility of the hotel grounds and the relaxing atmosphere of our 2 nights stay made it a perfect end to our Hong Kong trip before returning home.

“Last year was better, but still loving it.”

Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel

Jan 8, 2008
5/9 found this review helpful

We booked 2 rooms for 3 nights before christmas, and 2 nights after christmas. During both stays, we found that service at most divisions were still very good, but actually downgraded compared to last year.

During our stay last year, we encountered more professional and friendly staff. This year, we experienced that some staff/cast members were not as helpful & enthusiastic as last year, and ... there were definitely less smiles.

Though it's still one of our favorite hotels in Hong Kong, we felt like people who work at the hotel (and the park) are losing their "Disney Spirit".

Tried the Victorian Spa, in our opinion it was average. The treatment rooms were nice, but nothing extraordinary.

We had one wonderful experience to share here. One night during our stay at the hotel, we went to mongkok, got carried away, and didn't realize that it was almost midnite. We rushed back to the mtr station, and when we got to sunny bay we waited for 10 min, and no train. So we decided to call the hotel to ask what time was the last mtr to disneyland. The man who answered the phone asked where our exact position was. We told them we're at sunny bay, and had waited for over 10 minutes. He put us on hold for 1 min, got back on line and told us that a train was coming to sunny bay. He was right, and we got on the train back to disney. When we reached disneyland station, we ran out the train. We had missed the last shuttle bus by 3 minutes, and thought that we had to wait for half hour to 1 hour for the next shuttle (the shuttle runs every hour after midnight). It's probably a 15 minutes walk to the hotel, but we were very exhausted. To our surprise, the shuttle bus driver was waiting for us at the station entrance, and guided us to the bus.

Apparently the man at the hotel who took our call (regret didn't ask for his name) contacted the shuttle driver and told him there were hotel guests who were trying to catch the last shuttle but were still in the train. When we tried to tip the bus driver (didn't get his name, but he was about 45-55 year old) to say thank you, he refused!! Thank you very much to both of you !!

We'll definitely go back and stay at this hotel :)
