Stayed at the Hong Kong Sheraton for 4 nights in August 2007.
It was excellent location to shopping, waterfront and Nathan street where all the shopping is. Told them it was my first time in Hong Kong and they upgraded me to a harbour view room on the 12th floor. OMG how incredible the view was. The rooms were a good size, very comfortable.

The location is excellent, right in the middle of Tsim Sha Tsui and the subway station. 5 Minute walk to Star Ferry to bring you to Hong Kong Island. Harbor City is only a few blocks away. Take the subway to Mong Kok and exit E to the Ladies Market which opens around noon/1pm. Pickup some great knockoffs of handbags, Monte Blancs and every designer watch you can image. Some VERY good deals can be had. Lots of little shopping arcades and nooks and crannies just outside the hotel doors.

Across from waterfront and high end shopping. Watch the lightshow every night at 8pm and the fireworks on Saturdays from the bar on the top floor of the hotel, Morton's restaurant dining window or on the Avenue of the Stars across the street on the waterfront where the Intercontinental is. A Starbucks can be found a block over but beware, it opens around 8am as do most other coffee shops. Stores opens 10 to 2ish as well.

If you don't look like a local and more of a tourist or businessman, everywhere you walk up Nathan street you'll be asked if you want to buy a suit or watch. It gets to a point where you have to yell at them (mostly Indians) to leave you alone.

The entire staff is attentive and ensures you have everything you need. The gym facilities were good for a hotel. Had a deep tissue massage at the spa for about $85 and it was pretty decent also. The pool is small but good, is located on the roof so lots of privacy with little nooks and locations you can hide out. 3 hot tubs and great view of the skyline. In case you need a good American steak, Morton's is on the 4th floor and is always a sure thing for steaks. My personal ambition is to eat at every Morton's around the world, and this brings it to about 29 so far.

“Good Location and value for money”

Sheraton Hong Kong Hotel Tower

The hotel is located right next to the best retail stores like fendi and luis vuitton and has an amazing view of the harbour.

the buffet restuarent is good and you can get good crabs there for dinner.

I stayed in a deluxe room with harbour view and the room is a bit small but i guess thats the norm in HK.

The bathroom has a glass window between the room and can be a bit amusing.

Tried the chinese restaurent and it was not bad but i would recommend the chinese restaurent in the trade center.

Shopping complexes are easily accessible and the ferry is also quite close.

One negative is that they give very small bottled water in the room. these small green bottles which last exactly 2 sips.

Everytime i needed water i had to call for this bottle which wud last me a sip...

The night market and the ladies market are easily accessible by taxi.

In all a good value for money.

“(Almost) all you would expect”

Sheraton Hong Kong Hotel Tower

4 of 5 stars
Frankfurt a.M.

Stayed here for 2 nights in a harbour view room. It is true that the room was not huge, but I found it adequate. What was indeed ridiculously small was the wardrobe. I had trouble squeezing my stuff in there. Other than that, I liked the room, especially the phantastic view. Public areas are elegant and very well maintained. Staff is friendly and efficient, in some (few) cases with a tilt towards efficiency rather than friendliness. Breakfast buffet was average. All in all, it is a typical 5-star chain hotel, and it delivers all you can reasonably expect, not less, and (apart from the view) not more.

“Small Room, Great View”

We booked a room facing the harbor and got one on the 15th floor. The view was fantastic. You get an almost unblocked view of the skyscrapers in Hong Kong. Location was good with easy access to the subway. The room's modern with lots of glass (including a glass wall between the bathroom and the rest of the room -- so you get the full view of the city from the bathroom). However, the room was a bit small, and for two people in the room, we kept walking into each other. Like one of the other reviewers, we didn't enjoy Hong Kong (hot weather, crowds and rude people) but loved the hotel. The Sky Lounge is a great place for drinks and food (small portions) -- with a view. Service at the lobby lounge was slow.

“Sheraton HK Towers was WOW!”

Sheraton Hong Kong Hotel Tower

Upgraded to the Towers portion before arriving, so no negotiating at the time of check in. What an amazing property and view. We absolutely enjoyed the Towers. In Fact, the hotel was the greatest part of Hong Kong for us!

We were disappointed with the mega-city; we are glad to check this off our list of cities to visit in the world, but we could have done without it. Very smelly and dirty. We used most of the Towers benefits – the breakfast here was the best on our trip – wonderful service and selection. Towers happy hour was nice, room service was surprisingly good. Food at the hotel was better than we had anywhere else other hotel food we had on our trip - sushi place was terrific!

We don't know what the rooms were like for the regualr Sheraton, they operate the Towers as it's own property, so you are on your own if you do not upgrade to Towers room. The breakfast and views alone would make since to me for the upgrade!
