This was our first trip to Hong Kong and we selected the Langham Place Hotel purely on the reviews we had read on Trip Advisor. I have to say this hotel thoroughly deserved its No. 1 ranking and we would definitely return. I would also strongly urge everyone to upgrade to a Club room. The extra you pay per night is well worth the first class service you receive from the moment you arrive at the hotel, and the polite and attentive service you get in the Club Lounge throughout your stay. It really was a pleasure after a long flight to be met by our pre-booked people carrier, to be given soft drinks en route and then taken straight to the Club Lounge for the check-in. The Club rooms were excellent and I now understand why everyone raved about the beds and menu of scented pillows. We also loved the quirky glass walled bathroom which was kept spotlessly clean and filled with all the extras you would expect and more.
If you stay in a Club room breakfast is included in the price and the choice is absolutely amazing. I defy anyone to complain about the service, choice or standard of food in this hotel. It's the little details that make all the difference - like the table mats at breakfast telling you the latest daily news around the world. The other icing on the cake was the Club Lounge - go there mid afternoon and enjoy tea/coffee, even champagne and fresh strawberries, scones and cream; go there early evening and enjoy champagne or wine and a savoury selection of satays, canapes, sushi; arrive there late evening and enjoy a coffee licquer and some nibbles. All this was free, but the ambience and the views were priceless.
During your stay in Hong Kong definitely use the Metro and purchase an Octopus card - it's so cheap and easy to use. We enjoyed the Harbour laser show; visit to the Peak; our walks around the Flower and Bird Market (people actually take their birds for a walk); but one not so well publicised was the escalator on Hong Kong Island that seemed to go up the hill for miles passed markets, restaurants, homes. Also take an empty suitcase - I'm a shopaholic and I've never seem so many excellent shopping malls in a relatively small area - they appear everywhere (above and underground).

Firstly i have to say this is the best hotel i have stayed at in my 26 years yet. This was my first time to Hong Kong and i was worried about what to expect. But i certainly didnt need to worry.

I organised a limo transfer with the hotel and within 15 minutes of arriving at the Langham desk in the arrivals hall we were on out way to the hotel. The driver v friendly and telling us all the points of interest along the route.

On arrival you sort of get the felling where am i as the surrounding area is very local with fruit markets etc. This is a plus point as its good to get away from the hussle. We were directed to checkin with our bags taken care off immediatly. Check-in was easy, friendly and a breeze. I had stated it was my partners birthday and the provided the best cake i have ever eaten free of change. The lobby is very nice. When using the lifts try and make sure you use the lifts by the outside wall. They have glass windows and is quite a sight when going up to the 25th floor especially at night.

When in the executive room it was more spacious than i thought with a great view out of the window you could stare alday at. Huge very comfortable bed, massive TV and clean bathroom with nice toiletries. Everyday had a turndown service which was a nice touch. Ipod alarms and wifi were availble to use if you wish.

All the staff were friendly including the adoreable pink ladies and more than willing to help you on you travels.

Only tried the one restaurant in the hotel beacuse of its dessert buffet area (chocolate fountains and mini cakes ets).

A must do is the roof top pool and the Chuan Spa, the treatment i had left me in paradise and wishing i had more done.

Hotel is ajoined to a shopping mall and MTR station for quick and easy journeys to HK island or anywhere you want.

Cant wait to go back and would definatly use the Langham place again.

There're many classy hotels in Central if you pay a certain amount of money, but sometimes you feel it's overpriced because you can't be satisfied with the room, the staff, the location etc. Don't worry, it doesn't happen in Langham Place. The staff are extremely friendly and supportive, the rooms are spacious and modern, there's a metro station right next to the hotel, and the price is fair enough. I really can't think of anything to complain about. . But I had an intereting experience once - I was staying with my sister and we wanted to give this good-looking porter some tip, about 15 euros I remember, then he said 'No, no! Please! I can't!' and went away. . . Anyways, I think this is the best hotel in Asia with no doubt, and I'll definitely come back here again.

Of the numerous five star hotels I've visited in Asia, this is one of my favorites. The service was exceptional and there was really a buzz about the place. As a younger business traveler, I especially enjoyed the energy and a modern elements of this hotel. The management made a tremendous effort to insure that my colleauges and I were very comfortable.
