Of the numerous five star hotels I've visited in Asia, this is one of my favorites. The service was exceptional and there was really a buzz about the place. As a younger business traveler, I especially enjoyed the energy and a modern elements of this hotel. The management made a tremendous effort to insure that my colleauges and I were very comfortable.

When we were booking a trip to Hong Kong the travel agent had tried to book us into somehting closer to main area of Hong Kong. We had seen Langham Place in a brochure and after getting a quote the price was actually cheaper for more inclusions and a much better hotel. We stayed there for 7 nights and did not want to leave.

Before we travelled there we saw that the TV show The Amazing Race was giving a holiday package to the hotel to some winning contestants and that Qantas was now putting it's staff there so we knew (hoped) it was going to be good.

There is nothing bad we could say about the hotel. The staff were fantastic. I think we counted 10 staff one night just in the lower foyer. One of the girls in the pink outfits was there just to press the lift button for us. They were friendly and courteous.

The rooms were very modern with a great view. Great to see HUGE LCD Tvs in a country that makes them so cheap. Good for when you are shattered and just want to chill and see what has been happening in the world. It was fantastic to watch the storm and and lightening from the seat on the window sill. The roof top pool was a treat after a hard day of sightseeing with it's piped music or the nice hot spa. Having a lifeguard on the hotel roof was something you don't see everyday. And the best thing it was open all the time except if there was a storm. The change rooms were just as flash with all the extras and was great for when we checked out at 11am but weren't leaving to that night. We went out for the day and left our lugagge there then came back for a swim and then shower which was a greta end to the trip. The mens has another seperate Hot Spa and individual products if you have packed yours.

If there is one thing that you won't forget is the food. Not only was the breakfast great with service and slection the dessert bar with a Dark Chocolate Fondue in the morning and then they add a White Chocolate Fondue for dinner.

Being close to the MRT made for quick travel to Shenzen :) and other areas, Massive Shopping Centre next door attached to the hotel and easy distance to the markets makes this a great hotel.

Even the free computers for checking emails etc were an added bonus in times when nothing is free.

We would reccomend this hotel to anyone and say enjoy it and we will back there again for our next trip to HK!

As most reviewers here have noted, this is an absolute gem of a hotel with amenities and facilities that are generally in the almost 5 star hotel class at much less than 5 star prices. The only significant drawback is the smallish room sizes, which also means that there isn't much furniture to sit on in a Club L Room other than the bed. (There is one desk chair and one none-too-comfortable sitting chair, so for two people, watching TV has to be done from bed.) However, the bed is ultra-comfortable and the choice of pillows (which you can select in advance of arrival from a pillow menu) is excellent, easily matching the beds, pillows and linens of the Peninsula or any Four Seasons.

Other than the small room sizes, it's a top-notch place, with a friendly and generally helpful staff, a superb club lounge (with free internet access and beverage service 24/7, and a fine array of snacks put out at various times of day), a heated outdoor pool that is one of the better ones in town, and the advantage, on rainy days, of being connected to a sizable shopping mall. The Club L lounge furnishings are lavish and spacious, and on non-cloudy days, the view from the lounge is special.

Breakfast in the lobby level restaurant is comprehensive, with various pastries and breads, an array of cold cuts, both Japanese foods and a small selection of dim sum, a variety of cereals, made to order omelets, bacon, sausages, pancakes, yogurts, and a wonderful choice of fresh fruits and fresh fruit juices, including not just your standards (e.g., organge juice, grapefruit juice, apple juice, etc.), but watermelon juice and others. Most people who indulge a bit at breakfast won't find themselves wanting to have lunch at all.

The rooms are cleaned several times a day by a fastidious, truly remarkable staff. If you use their shower cap, they will replace it with a new one. They make sure that the bathroom is spotless, as well.

I recommend this place enthusiastically.

I've stayed at some hotels, all around the world, but this one is absolutely amazing.
The staff are very helpful, and nothing is too much trouble.
Location is great, right in the heart of the action and a good place to see the real hong kong.
