I've stayed several times at the Eaton and have not had any major problems. My most recent visit I upgraded to the "Excecutive Level" (I was on a business trip so my company was paying for it - ~C$180/nt) and I received access to the "E" lounge, which offers free wi-fi internet access, 3-4 desktop terminals, free drinks (pop, water, juice), some munchies (mini-muffins, cookies) and newspapers/magazines.
The room I got was pretty small, but keep in mind that Hong Kong hotels are rather small relative to what you're used to in some other countries as well as to hotels I've stayed at in Beijing, Shanghai and other cities in China. The bed was fairly firm, but again, keep in mind the beds in China and more so in Hong Kong seem to be a lot firmer than in North America etc. so that's par for the course.
The hotel is rather non-descript on the outside but it has a nice patio and a roof top pool. The gym is rather small but serves its purpose for those that need some cardio (if you're looking for a heavy weight lifting workout you'll be a bit disappointed but can still maange a decent workout). Foot massages are offered in the fitness centre for a reasonable HK$200 and was quite good (but painful - I like it that way but you can ask for a softer massage).
TV in the room is the old tube style and smallish but again, why be in HK if all you plan to do is watch tv? Safety deposit box is smaller than what I'm used to (most hotels in China are big enough to fit my laptop - this one wasn't) but not a big deal.
Location is good - you're on a side street just off of Nathan Rd (HK's main tourist strip) and you're about a 5 minute walk to the subway station (Jordan station, I believe). You can walk down to the Park in about 10 minutes and the waterfront in about 20 minutes. You're also close to the night markets on Temple street (Mong Kok area - north of the hotel). There's plenty of shops along the way so if you're a shopper you'll enjoy the walk downtown (south). You can take the airport express train to TST (one stop before Central) and then it's a short walk (5+ minutes with light luggage) or if you're more daring, you can take a city bus from the airport that will take you along Nathan road - buses are super cheap and there's a spot to put your luggage too.
Overall, a place I try to stay at when I'm in HK.
