“Great view...location?”

My husband and I stayed at Le Meridien Cyberport from January 7th through the 11th. The hotel is very nice, the food was excellent. The location is not for you if you want to tour Central and Kowloon. The hotel offers a shuttle to Central (for a fee) and the ride is decent enough...but there is nothing like walking out of the hotel and being in the middle of things. There is a great small grocery store 1/2 block away and the bus station is also 1/2 block away which was great for going to Stanley. BUT...if you want to spend most of your time around the Harbour this is not convenient.

I also found that the bathroom door (made of glass) does not close tightly...no door around the commode and the tile behind the glass door in the shower stall was moldy.

For the most part this place is great - just not for a tourist. Would not stay there again.

“My first stay at the hotel was in October 2004 - would stay again any time”

In October 2004 my wife and daughter joined me in Hong Kong for a week in the territory. My wife had seen the Le Meridien hotel on-line and was curious about it. Long story short we booked a three night stay which we followed by a night stay in Macao (in a Hyatt hotel there) and again another two nights in Le Meridien. The hotel was very nice:
* Excellent pool (somewhat cold water but manageable)
* Interesting interior of the rooms
* Flat panel TVs in the rooms
* But most of all excellent service -- we even left our luggage with the hotel when we went to Macao for a two day / one night stay.

The hotel had also a free shuttle service to Hong Kong harbour area.

“Stylish, Comfortable & Wonderful Service”

Le Meridien Cyberport

5 of 5 stars

I stayed at Le Meridien Cyberport in November for four nights with a friend. In general, I have only positive comments about the hotel.

Upon arrival, my friend and I were upgraded and placed on a high floor. The check-in went quickly and the staff was friendly. The room was stylish, modern and, by Hong Kong standards, fairly large. I slept like a babe in the large, comfortable bed.

The bathroom was also large and well appointed, with a very refreshing rain-shower shower head.

I did not use the pool or gym, but did take advantage of the free internet service in the lobby. In addition, I found the breakfast buffet well stocked with American and Asian breakfast foods, plus many fresh fruits, juices and pastries.

Many have commented about the disadvantageous location. This was my second trip to Kong Kong and I found the location only a minor inconvenience. Most of the places that I frequented in Hong Kong were only a short (and cheap) cab ride away; think 15 minutes and $7 or $8. For me, the comfort of the room definitely outweighed the inconvenience of the location.

Moreover, Le Meridien offers great value, with very high quality furnishings and common areas, at a price much lower than more centrally-located five star properties.

I recommend the hotel and would definitely stay again.

“Great, stylish and modern hotel”

A very modern and smart hotel. Rooms had great views over the sea to lamma Island. Nice pool. sauna etc and a pretty chilled out place to relax. Cyberport isn't the best location and is just another of HK's many souless mall type spaces, but the hotel was great.

“Nice Room, Not convenient location”

Le Meridien Cyberport

I stayed at the Le Meridien Cyberport for part of my honeymoon. The room was very big and nice for a Hong Kong hotel. Very modern and contemporary looking. They also upgraded me to the top floor ocean viewing room due to my Starwood status. Speaking of Starwood, if you have any points with them, you can stay there for $60 USD+3,000 points (or for 7,000 points per night). The only "downside" of the room is that it is slowly deteriorating. For examples, the tiles in the bathrooms are turning slightly yellow/brown.

The location now is not the best, but not too bad. It is approximately a 10 minute cab ride (approx. $60 HKD or $8 USD) from Central. We usually cab out to Central, then take the MTR wherever else we needed to go. Or another cheaper option is to take the bus, which the bus stop is right next to the hotel. That only takes $5 HKD or $0.80 USD per person. It takes about 30 minutes to get to Central. If you are traveilng with more then 1 person, it's probably best and time saving to take a cab.

Concierge, Bell Desk, everyone was nice at the hotel. Overall good experience. With the deal, I would definitely stay here again.
