When we first arrived the the hotel (and for the first few days to be honest!) we thought we had chosen a good hotel, but a bit inconvenient location-wise. As our trip progressed however, and we became more familiar with HK, we soon discovered that you can get to and from this Hotel extremely easily from almost anywhere in HK by using buses (to and from everywhere), ferries 5 minutes away, the Hotel shuttle, and taxi's (cheap in HK). Being next to the harbour, and being in a somewehat quieter suburb (Whampoa) was just delightful. To be honest, once you explore the shops around the Hotel in a little more detail, you soon discover that you can shop for days and days just near the Hotel without going into the mad crowd at Nathan St if you like! There is everything - restaurants, shops, ice-creams, etc etc. In the early morning, being on a lovely Harbour promenade was just wonderful.
The Hotel is absolutely excellent - breakfast lovely, the rooms lovely - I just couldn't criticize it. I will be back

When we first arrived at the hotel I was a little disappointed at the location but I soon changed my mind. We've always stayed on Hong Kong island before but decided to try Kowloon and we'd certainly return.
It's a relatively new hotel, very light and spacious which is not easily found in Hong Kong. Our room, which was above average size, overlooked the bay. Facilities & cleanliness were excellent and the breakfast buffet which was included was superb.
There's a free shuttle bus to take you down to the Star Ferry Terminal close to the bottom of Nathan Road or to the metro, but the taxis are so cheap it's quicker to take them. Plus it's only a short walk along the promenade to the ferry that goes across to Central on Hong Kong island.
Try the Harbour Grill restaurant the food and service are fantastic.

I hate leaving really positive reviews as I know it will be more difficult for me to stay in future however....

The Harbour plaza is simply fantastic in every respect. Book a Harbour view room which is great. Views are great pool is great and food is fantastic. Location is spot ona s well really.

I cannot fault this hotel in any way...the hotel itself was beautiful and the staff helpful in every way!
Other people have complained of the location of this hotel but we did not find it a problem at all, it is 5 mins walk from the star ferry and there is a shuttle bus to the nearest mtr station every half an hour, this ride also takes around 5 mins, apart from that there are taxi's outside all day and night and the men on the door will advise the drivers in chinese on your destination so there are no language problems.
We had a harbour view room on the 11th floor and the view was stunning, well worth the little extra you pay.
I would recommend the all u can eat buffet breakfast and dinner laid on at the Prommenade restaurant, all beautiful fresh food and well worth the money...for breakfast there was a huge selection of chinese and international food with fresh pasties and baked goods and dinner included a massive variation of food from chinese to sushi to indian to roast meat to lovely fresh seafood not to mention the huge selection of desserts if you have room left!
Every member of staff we dealt with was nothing but helpful and the rooms were cleaned twice a day every day we were there.
Cant say any more than that...we loved it!
