We could deal with the indians out the front hassling us all the time and the reception area looks beautiful, but when the lift opened, we had a sinking feeling.

Stained carpets, a stale smell of smoke (on a non-smoking floor) and then our room was just spectacular...not.

The lights were faulty and numerous attempts at staff to fix them, didn't stop the electricity cutting out continuously, then the toilet started ovrflowing, and the view!! Oh I loved looking at that run grotty filthy, rubbish strewn monstrosity next door. It was more enjoyable watching the pidgeons breeding just on the window ledge.

the bar, reaked of cigars, although they do know how to mix a good drink and the 2for1 dealwas great.

BUT the chinese restaurant downstairs... YUMMMOOOO!!!! I cannot encourage anyone enough to go there. We had the full on banquet it was about $100AUD each but my gosh teh food was brilliant. The staff chatted to us all night, they cook it in front of you,a dn they even let me have a go of the wok! They explain exactly what we were eating and were a commendation to the hotel. I was just dissaponted that we went to the restaurant on our last night, cos otherwise I would ahve been there the whole five days.

I stayed at a deluxe room during June 5 for 3 nights. I was told it was recently renovated, but I wasnt feeling the 'new' comfort of it when I arrive. In fact the room look just ok, not bright enough. We got a room which come with 2 queen sized bed and it was very good for family of 4 to stay all in 1 room. The bed was quite comfortable though and have clean bedsheet on it. The bathroom was small, with a bathtub that wasnt really clean and white. The toiletries came in full set, so you dont need to prepare any if you are a easy traveller.

The worst part of my stay was, there was no security in and out of the hotel. The lift do not have access key card function, so anyone can simply go up to the guest room. There was no security guard at the side door which was full of indians and africans walking around. The environment was totally upset and turn off. When you enter from the side door, there was a terrible smell coming from dont know where. The hotel should seriously do something about the security.

The location was great, easy access to harbour city where all the branded boutique are located, 2mins walk to the star ferry pier where you can access to avenue of stars for some photo shooting. For local shops, staying at Kimberley, Miramar hotel was better as it had all the fashionable shops around it.

I still prefer Langham Place after all which is easy access to everywhere by MTR and a perfect room/price for everyone. Please double consider when you are shortlisting Holiday Inn Goldenmile for your next stay and do not put too much expectation on this hotel.

This is a clean hotel in a dirty part of the city.

Whilst the location isn't too bad with an entry point to the Tsim Sha Tsui MTR station (no lift or escalators at this entry point though), the neighbours are rather shocking.

The Indian hawkers are bad enough, however they are replaced by hookers at night. Groups of aggressive Africans loiter around the 7-11 across the road.

If you are unfortunate enough to get a room on the Chungking Mansions side of the hotel, don't lift up the fixed blind to look at the view. It's so disgusting that even the hotel doesn't want you to look out the window.

The room itself is quite clean, although a little small.

Avoid Hari's Bar. It is frequented by hookers and little else.

I'm a repeat guest of this hotel.
Primarily stayed because of fantastic location. Has airport express shuttle pickup, adjacent to subways, near money changers and restaurants, both shopping centers and chinese atmosphere right at your doorstep, short walk to Victorial Harbour and China Ferry Terminal, & it's even near Kowloon Park!
Staff is polite and efficient. They let us leave our baggage even after we checked out at noon, since our flight wasn't until the evening. So we didn't have to lug our bags while we did some last-minute shopping.
Room was newly refurbished. Had complete toiletries which were fastidiously replaced. Didn't have to request for razors, combs, make-up remover and skunchie, since they were already there. Nice weighing scale in the bathroom. Love that they have 3 sets of towels & bathrobes, because I like to use new ones for each bath instead of having to hang them out for the evening.
Cons: Lots of Indian hawkers outside the hotel and along Nathan Road. Just ignore them though.
Will stay here again.
