On our second day in Beijing we headed to the zoo. We paid the extra on entering to see the Pandas, was a little disappointed because you can only enter once, and all of them were sleeping. The zoo is amazing, its just so big, for a tiny fee you can feed the giraffes (amazing), we nursed a chimpanzee, is it the only zoo where you can pat zebras?? Despite all the warnings not to feed animals, some irresponsible people still do and the keepers just watch. Most exhibits are excellent, we only saw a few that were a little small. There is loads for kids to do, all very cheap. There is also an aquarium there, we didn't go in but looks spectacular. If you love animals and zoo's this is one well worth seeing.
