“Bit Noisy but Cheap as Chips”

Keylany Hotel

Good enough for the price. Was a bit noisy outside our room but beds were comfortable and the bathroom was clean. The man behind the desk was friendly and helpful. Were only there for 2 nights so it was fine.

“nice little hotel”

Keylany Hotel

Apr 8, 2008

I stayed at the Keylany hotel for 3 nights with my family or 2 small children ( 4 and 7) in a triple room. Good choice.
Staff , especially reception and breakfast very helpful.
Rooms clean if a little old but had charm ( and AC and fan + fridge and safety box)and preferable to a posh 5 star - at least you knew that you were in Egypt.
Good location - steps to entrance a little worn but noise didn't really bother me or the kids.
Breatfast very good - coffee pancakes fruit and toast ( we took our own marmite ( yeepee) and hot chocolate for the kids.
On a trip to Abu Simbel they packed a nice breakfast.
Organised trips in good mini buses and were efficient.
We all felt very safe and slept well - only down side was the advertised pool on roof top ????? like a its the knock out one ( possibly smaller ) not sure how clean.
Would use again.

“Excellent budget choice”

Keylany Hotel

Apr 6, 2008

We booked 2 nights at this place through the hostel web site and it was good we did as it was full up.

Service was excellent - they exchanged a E£50 torn in half note for a good one and also produced a beakfast box for my son at midday as he had missed his trip to Abu simbal because of feeling ill

The rooms we absolutely fine and shower ok as well. Air con worked well and we did need it in March as already getting hot. a nice roof garden to come back to as well - no alcohol on sale though

they arranged the abu simbal trip fo e£55 and it worked well

“Not spotless”

Keylany Hotel

2 of 5 stars
Oslo, Norway

Stayed one night at Keylany. Location was fine and staff helpful, but rooms and common areas were really dirty, linens spotty and the overall impression quite unappealing. But if you can take the dirt, the price is har to beat.

“Excellent staff!”

Keylany Hotel

Feb 27, 2008

Great budget option for our 3-night stay in Aswan. Booked a double room (means, 2 twin beds) with private bath and little balcony. Relatively quiet, and clean rooms. Great location, within walking distance of the Corniche, local ferry docks, Luxor Temple, on the route of microbuses, etc.

Good breakfast (includes crepes) served on the rooftop terrace, and they provided us a boxed breakfast for our early morning departure.

Good internet rates next door (10LE/hour), threading (20LE), and reasonable price for large water bottle (2.5LE) through one's hotel. The staff was incredibly courteous and helpful, suggesting fair prices for cab rides, when to show up to purchase bus tickets, etc.

Great value and superb service!
