We stayed at this hotel for Christmas 2007. It was superb. Although it was an unconventional Christmas for us, the experience was amazing. We throughly enjoyed the pyramids and visiting the bazaar where we purchased local gifts and mingled with the lovely welcoming people.
We ate in the hotel most days. The breakfast restaurant 'night and day' was excellent -everything you could ask for - fresh eggs cooked infront of you. (didnt eat the sausages or bacon as of course no pork) freshly cooked pancakes with maple syrup, continental breakfast (roll, cheese) fruit and cereals on offer.
We ate in the Birdcage (Thai) - which was absolutely delicious!
We had Christmas Eve in 'The Grill' - a french cuisine. The meal was a real experience! Bit expensive for us (£320 for four, inc champagne and two bottles of wine and five courses) worth every penny and as it was Christmas we thought it was a real treat. The local people, in the hotel and area are all very welcoming and friendly. Such nice people. Great customer service.

We have just returned from a week's holiday in in Egypt and only spent 1 night at this hotel as we were only staying overnight in Cairo.

The hotel was fantastic, we had a lovely room overlooking the Nile, what a view. The room was clean and very comfortable.

Food was amazing and wished we were staying longer, alot of dishes freshly prepared infront of you. The desserts were gorgous to look at and equally yummy. My husband had sushi all prepared infront of him.

Our only complaint would be our rep had gone ahead to our hotel an hour or so before we were due to arrive to ensure we could check straight in. However when we arrived we still had to wait a good 45 minutes to be told that the upgrade we had requested, the room wasn't ready.

hotel was superb in every senses,whether it is in luxury,comfortability,rooms wer nicely designed n decorated,everything is complementing each other,as i was at the back side of the hotel so i cannot enjoy the river nile location,but view frm back of the hotel to cairo city was also good,staff was well behaved everything was fine,except room service ,room service is taking some more time,as i ordered fr mineral water bottles,rest everything is fine,located in the heart of city,city of "triumph",my next visit whenever in my life ,my hotel will b semiramis intercontinental

We just returned from a 2 week tour of Egypt. we stayed at this hotel for the last three nights and it was the best accomodation in Egypt. Actually it rates as one of the top hotels I've stayed at in the world. The rooms were clean, modern, quiet and outfitted with top of the line ammenities such as the bath towels, robes and even slippers. Ask for a room with the view of the Nile- you won't regret it! We ate every night at their restaurant "Night & Day Restaurant" and the food was excellent. The service was outstanding,in the restaurant, front desk, and housekeeping. Everyone was overly friendly and attentive. The business center was excellent and not overly priced. Their staff was also great.
I wished we could have stayed at this hotel for the entire stay in Cairo. It is worth every penny especially after an exhausting day of touring.
