As others have mentioned both the location for getting around and the staff are good I will not go into those details again.
But I would just like to mention three things which I really did not like about the hotel.
We had the room on the 8th floor. There are only two rooms here one being a guest room and the other a sort of stock come holding room for luggage and sometimes a general chatting room for staff, threin lies the problem. Being woken by staff as early as 5.45am with staff coming and going, and to be honest there was more noise from that room than from outside the hotel at times. If the room is to be used by guests there is room to put another door between stockroom/guest room this would cut down the noise. And if you have any mobility problems this room is accessed by a steep not to safe stairway. (lift ends at 7th floor)
During our stay of 5 nights the linen was not changed once, There was a mark on the sheet (looked like ink) and it was there for the whole stay. Pillowcases not changed either but towels changed daily.
The b/fast room is in a windowless room on the ground floor, not a problem really but when busy and its full and you have come down to eat being showered and changed you will go away smelling of fat as all the cooking is done in this one small room with not enough ventilation. You get fresh fruit which is a nice touch, but as it lying around with the cooking all I could taste was the cooking oil on it.. So gave the b/fast a miss after two days.
Others may not find these neather bothersome or a problem, however after reading some reviews you would think you were coming to stay at the Ritz!
And yes I know lots will disagree.......
