“Great Value New Hotel”

Grand Millennium Sukhumvit

Jun 12, 2008

Have stayed four times at this hotel this year via great rate on Wotif.com.
I like new hotels and found this one near Sukhumvit MRT station. Very convenient onyl 100 mtr walk.
Lobby has nice cafe restaurant called Flourworx which serves great value sandwhiches and cakes.
ATM machine in lobby also convenient
Small pool but nicely done. sun only in the middle of the day though.
Gym is excellent with latest equipment and large space. Well designed
Rooms nicely set out with glass walls allowing viewing of the TV in the ebdroom...of course blinds also provided for privacy.
TV comes with AV sockets allowing computer to be plugged in
Only small design fault...hard to watch tv from the desk....oh and the other design fault...the shower door only opens inwards...other than that, the room si perfect for the business traveller and have one of the most comfrtable beds I have had in a hotel of this stadard.
Overall and excellent addition to the Bangkok hotel scene without being OTT expensive.

This place is very recently built. It's very modern and rooms are spacious with all mod cons. Free newspaper, hook your ipod up to the flatscreen and watch the TV from the bath! 200m from Metro and Skytrain plus shops. Outdoor swimming pool on the 6th floor with gym, sauna etc. 20 mins by taxi to KSR or Grand Palace. And also check out the restaurnat on the 6th floor. Totally impressed!

“Great New Hotel in Bangkok, close to transport and shopping malls!!”

Great New Hotel near major shopping centres like Emporimum, Siam Paragon etc.

Close to MRT (3-5min) and BTS (5-8min) walk.

Unfortunately the closest MRT exit is directly on the opposite side of road and it's impossible to cross the heavy traffic. You'll need to walk towards Sukhumvit Rd (passing Soi Cowboy, very busy at night) to the other MRT exit. (About 3-5min. walk)

Hotel is clean and service is excellent. The spa is good and up to 5-star standard with gym, steam rm, sauna and even a golf putting on rooftop.

Stayed here for 2 nights on arrival into Bangkok. The Millenium is a really good hotel. its cheaper and better than other BKK hotels I stayed in on the trip - eg Intercontinental. Rooms very comfortable and nice design. Food onsite very good, location good, staff very helpful. Downside is its quite new so not all the cab drivers know it, but not a problem and I would recommend this hotel very strongly to anyone.

“Great Hotel”

We stayed at the hotel for 6 nights with our 3 children - 14, 13, 9 years. Our immediate impression was fantastic, the rooms are spacious (we had interconnecting rooms) with wide screen TVs, large bathroom (not the greatest bathroom if you were sharing with a friend as there is not a lot of privacy - but for a family the bathroom was perfect). Our kids loved the 18 hole putting green. The pool on the hotel's website looks small but in fact it was a rather decent lap pool (not at all deep - 1.2m). There were separate mens and womens spa/sauna/steam room facilities which were very luxurious. The coffee shop in the foyer sold their delicious cakes, pies, quiches etc for 1/2 price after 6pm. The staff were great, the breakfast buffet had a wide selection of foods to cater for all tastes. We had the seafood dinner buffet which was lovely but extremely expensive. At first we thought the location of the hotel was not the greatest but after the first day we realised that Bangkok is such a large city that no matter what hotel you chose you would have to travel some distance to see the sights. The hotel is a short walk to the skytrain and train station. The only downside I would say is that there are no restaurants (that we could find) in close proximity to the hotel so we tended to catch the skytrain to different restaurants. On the whole we loved the hotel and would definitely recommend it. If we were to return to Bangkok we would not hesitate in staying there again.
