Great Bangkok hotel, huge lobby very grand etc. 2 great swimming pools great for relaxing and sunbathing. Also has a gym and a spa, sauna etc. Breakfast choice was huge, they also have about 8 different places to eat within the hotel, but much more expensive than eating out. There's some shops and places to eat nearby that you can walk to, but taxi's are so cheap it's easy to go to other areas.
Also easy and quick access to the skytrain.
Definately recommend this hotel for good value

“Impressive, but impractical”

Imperial Queen's Park Hotel

Apr 5, 2008

This is a very attractive hotel with beautifully decorated rooms, big crowds, lots of street life, fine pools and large public lobby areas. The food was ample, although not as good quality as other Bangkok breakfast and lunch buffets.

What surprised me was that the huge room I was in appears to have been designed by someone with impeccable taste but who never stayed in a hotel room. The closets were inconveniently located behind the bathroom door, while the only drawer space was in the entry way at the other end of the suite. There were several nice lamps, and several nice chairs. But none of the lamps was near any of the armchairs where one would logically want light to read a book or newspaper. There was only dim light at the writing desk and dressing table, and no overhead lighting except in the entry way.

Missed opportunity to provide genuine luxury instead of just its appearence.

“Excellent hotel...value for money”

We stayed at this hotel a couple of weeks ago and thoroughly enjoyed it. The skytrain is at the back of the hotel, a short walk through a small park but taxis are plentiful and cheap to get to shopping areas, etc.
We stayed in the premier rooms and found them very clean and spacious.Nice pools too, just right for a late afternoon swim in the Bangkok heat!
There is a 7/11 right opposite and a couple of nice massage places, aswell as restaurants and a launderette nearby.
We ordered room service the first night as the kids were tired and it was delicious and reasonable. The breakfast is excellent, although pricey if it hasn't ben included in your room rate.
There is a lovely art shop in the foyer, with an artist who will draw your portrait in charcoal for 300bht....we had our 3 kids 'drawn' and they are extremely good, probably our best souvenir of Bangkok.

“Very grand”

Imperial Queen's Park Hotel

A very grand hotel, not likt the ones we would normaly choose.
Appear to be more staff than guests! Very efficient & will do anything for you.
Drinks & food fairly pricey, and we found a good selection of bars & restaurants as you leave out o main door , across the road to the right.
A little out of the centre of Bangkok, but easy access to skytrain, which is abour £2 for a full day pass.
If you walk right to intersection & cross over foot bridge, find Soi 23, a short walk down, you will find a taste of Bangkok night life. Interesting bars & was good to sit & watch "the girls" and the activities!!!!!

I stayed at this outstanding hotel for three nights in January 2008 with my wife and two teenage daughters on the way back from Australia . We arrived very tired after a 16 hour delay on the flight from Sydney . Check-in was very fast and efficient .The first thing that hits you when you enter this hotel is the superb standard of custoner service .I have stayed in top hotels all over the world and this has to rate as one of the best I have ever stayed in .Nothing was too much trouble . The rooms we clean and very well presented and the buffet restaurant for breakfast or dinner was great having the largest choice I have ever experienced.
I will certainly be returning to this beautiful hotel.
