right in the middle of it all, shops, bars sky train and main tourist spots.room at the hotel was clean and good size the bed was comfy too. the first room we were given was a bit noisey due to a air con generater close by, after comlaining we were given a different room the next day, the complaint was dealt with no problem very good service.on the advice of tripadvisor we ate at the food hall just down from the hotel good choice and cheap we also ate off the food stalls around the city no promblems. we hired a guide for the day through tour with tong after reading feed back from tripadvisor our guide for the day was named Tok she was great , she picked us up at 6.30am went to the floating market (a must for anyone visting bangkok) local temple, royal pottery crafts, wood carving shop, tiger temple, during our visit it started to thunder also some heavy rain, im pretty sure the tigers wouldnt have reacted if they were drugged they were pretty lively! and finaly the river kwai, total cost was around £100 for the both of us including guide, driver, petrol ,comfy sudan car and all entrance fees, money well spent ,tour with tong highly recommended.our thomas cook rep tony took us to the flower market ,gem factory and the grand palace,he was full of usefull info about the city and its attractions we noticed at the palace, tourist without guides were listening to tony, worth the little extra we payed, also no waiting around we just left when we wanted to if you like shopping you,ll need a full day at the mbk shopping centre electric on top two floors. also the river cruise at night had good entertainment and food cost about £20 pp
