We've been in Bel-Aire Princess hotel for only 5 days but that was a great choice.

The hotel is well located with his tube station not too far. Rooms were wonderful, big and clean everyday. The room service at any time (of the day/night) was great. Nice food too. The hall with his piano-bar is fantastic. WE also enjoyed the swimming pool almost at the roof of the hotel, with the bar and the gym facility.

The location of this hotel is great ( lots of local restaurant in the surronding, pubs) and tube station not too far.

We will definitively go back.

“the best”

Bel-Aire Princess

May 7, 2008

Hi every1
I have just arrived back from 4 days trip to bangkok. and it was my 8th trip there. this time i stayed at bel air princess hotel and found it the best hotel i have ever stayed here. The best location of bangkok and very near to shopping malls resturants and skytrain. The best place for indians to live in as it is very near to indian resturants just walking distance and even near to hotel grace.

As the hotel is bit expensive but it offer great facilities. the best hotel staff and the most clean rooms. great bathrooms and swimming pool. In bangkok u are generally not welcomed at reception nicely but here staff is so good and corporating. so next time again i would stay in this hotel as this is the best.

“What a littel Gem!!”

We have just come back from a trip to Thailand and our first port of call was Bangkok for 4 nights (just not long enough)!! we stayed at this hotel after reading the many reviews written here and I have to say it was just great. The situation was great, a 5 min walk to the Skytrain (nana E3) which was so cheap for a day pass to ride around the city and take in some sights just in itself!.

The rooms at the hotel were lovely and clean, we were upgraded to a Deluxe Room by Thomas Cook and it had two huge beds in it, fridge, TV, everything you expect from a hotel. The turn down service at night was great and we were always left a lovely Orchid on our beds. The breakfast selection was very good and we also ate once in the evening in the restaurant and the food was excellent, no complaints there.

The staff at the Bel Aire Princess were polite and always very helpful, but you would expect nothing less from such wonderful people.

So YES, I definately reccommend this hotel if you are visiting Bangkok, I only wish I was coming back soon!

right in the middle of it all, shops, bars sky train and main tourist spots.room at the hotel was clean and good size the bed was comfy too. the first room we were given was a bit noisey due to a air con generater close by, after comlaining we were given a different room the next day, the complaint was dealt with no problem very good service.on the advice of tripadvisor we ate at the food hall just down from the hotel good choice and cheap we also ate off the food stalls around the city no promblems. we hired a guide for the day through tour with tong after reading feed back from tripadvisor our guide for the day was named Tok she was great , she picked us up at 6.30am went to the floating market (a must for anyone visting bangkok) local temple, royal pottery crafts, wood carving shop, tiger temple, during our visit it started to thunder also some heavy rain, im pretty sure the tigers wouldnt have reacted if they were drugged they were pretty lively! and finaly the river kwai, total cost was around £100 for the both of us including guide, driver, petrol ,comfy sudan car and all entrance fees, money well spent ,tour with tong highly recommended.our thomas cook rep tony took us to the flower market ,gem factory and the grand palace,he was full of usefull info about the city and its attractions we noticed at the palace, tourist without guides were listening to tony, worth the little extra we payed, also no waiting around we just left when we wanted to if you like shopping you,ll need a full day at the mbk shopping centre electric on top two floors. also the river cruise at night had good entertainment and food cost about £20 pp

“Fantastic Hotel in a Great Location”

Bel-Aire Princess

Apr 16, 2008

We stayed at the Bel Aire Princess for 4 nights in February as a base for exploring Bangkok. We were upgraded to a junior suite when we arrived and it was a lovely room with a huge bed and a separate seating area. The bathroom was a good size and was old but clean. The room was cleaned well every day and we were given complimentary water and fruit each day. The staff were always helpful and pleasant. We didn't eat at the hotel so can't comment on the food. The hotel is just on the fringes of the action so it's very quiet. We were at the back of the hotel and didn't have any problems with noise.

The real beauty of this hotel is the location. It's in Sukhumvit which is a great area with lots going on. It's busy at night as there is a night market on Sukhumvit Road and lots of places to eat and drink. There is a sky train station (Nana) about 5 mins walk from the hotel which made it really easy to get around the city. This is a cheap and easy way to travel and is much faster than using taxis/buses, plus it's air-conditioned.

While we were there we visited the Grand Palace, Wat Po and Wat Arun - all are close together and you can get the ferry across the river for about 10p from Wat Po to Wat Arun. We also went shopping at the night market at Pat Pong and some of the shopping centres - Siam Central, MBK and Centre Point. All were easy to get to using the Sky Train. We also had a reflexology massage to soothe our tired feet after several hours of shopping - there are lots of places to choose from but all are priced at around £4-£5 for an hour.

We also went to the Sky Bar one evening - an outdoor bar on the 64th floor of the State Tower for a cocktail. This gives you amazing views over the whole Bangkok and is well worth the £7 for a cocktail. It's also nice to get a bit of fresh air! The best time to arrive is around 6pm as you get both daytime and sunset views of the city.

On our final day we had a half-day cooking lesson at the Baipai cooking school and that was fantastic. They pick you up and return you to your hotel and you learn to make a 4 course Thai meal - the teacher demonstrates and then you make your own and eat it. The classes are small - up to 10 people - and it's interesting and a lot of fun if you enjoy cooking.

All in all, we would definitely recommend staying in Sukhumvit and at the Bel Aire Princess.
