“Brilliant stay”

I stayed at Lebua for 2 nights in early June at the start of a tour around Thailand. I visited with 2 friends and we all shared a room.
From the moment we were picked up at the airport the staff really looked after us. Big comfortable BMW, hot towels and cold water were greatly appreciated after a 14 hour journey!
When we arrived the staff took our suitcases, led us to some nice big comfy chairs in the lobby and sorted out our check in for us.
Our room was on the 54th floor with amazing views over the river and the city. It was a lot bigger than I expected (often city hotel rooms are quite small I find) and the bathoom was gorgeous.
We never ate in the hotel, other than breakfast which was always really really good. There is such a big selection - pastries, different breads to toast, cheese and meats, sausgaes/eggs/bacon etc, thai style food, sushi (not for me first thing in the morning!!), fruit... basically whatever you wanted!
We went up to the sky bar the first night which was lovely and I definitley reccomend it. Unfortunatley it was raining when we went, but they provided us with umbrellas and it also meant it wasn't too crowded. I thought the staff at the sky bar were a little rude, but all of the other staff in the hotel were lovely-polite and courteous all of the time.
We used the simming pool and steam room/sauna every day. It was lovely-so relaxing after a hectic, hot, sweaty, dirty day traipsing around Bangkok!
The only thing I was a little disappointed in was trying to get to Wat Arun temple. We asked a member of staff who took us to the guy outside who will sort you a taxi. He told us to get in the taxi to the pier and get on a certain boat and it would take us to Wat Arun. Our hotel taxi driver took us to the pier and shown us what boat to book. It wasn't cheap either! However, it never took us to Wat Arun, it took us to this awful Crocodile Farm which I would not reccomend to anyone (bears/tigers/monkeys etc kept in terrible conditions) and then to the Grand Palace! I was a bit miffed and felt as though we had been a bit conned!
Other than that the stay was perfet and I would definitley reccomend it to anyone and would love to go back.

“What's meaning of BEST CHOICE??”

Lebua at State Tower

I feel very update set of the hotel arrangement and service. I have stay around the world hotel, like Burj Al Arab in Dubai. But the service and attitude that Lebua provide are make me update set.

I have book the hotel with flight ticket via our travel agent from HK. The hotel voucher with ticket are pack in one envelop.
When I walk-in to the hotel on Jun 22, 08 morning around 11:00, their staff are pleased to come and service us for registration. We have been arranged to sit on lobby sofa, and their staff is asking we have any registration or not, and will help to registration. At that time, I hand over the envelop with hotel voucher information (of course the ticket is inside the envelop) with credit card and passport.
After a few minutes, another staff is come over and return my credit card with passport for me, and she say will show me the hotel now. At that moment, I haven't realize that they keep all my booking information such as my booking invoice and itinerary.

After my holiday is finished on Jun 24 and check-out to go airport. I found my ticket is not on my way, and I remember that they took it during registration. So I call to hotel and check they keep it or not. One othe the staff replied that they can't found any ticket, just the voucher and my itinerary. I'm strange that how come they can find the itinerary, but can't find my ticket. I'm 100% sure that everything are put in one envelop. If the itinerary is there, my ticket must there. If this is a GOOD and BEST hotel, they have to help the customer to solve those problem and not just say " Sorry, I can't find it, ByeBye~" What's the service that Lebua staff provide??
Of course we can't get the result and help from hotel even they get lost customer ticket. The hotel get problem and need me to suffer the result. I have to buy other set of one way ticket back to HK. Who is going to suffer my lost by hotel mistake? Who is going to suffer my painful and helpness by hotel mistake?? Here are the point that hotel should take their responsibility.

1) Get lost customer things and use bad attitude to reply.
2) If they can find customer invoice and itinerary, there should have ticket. Why the hold customer belonging?? If they do, they should take this responsibility since they hold customer belonging.
3) When the problem is coming up, hotel doesn't provide appropriate solution to help customer needs, that's the best service??

Anyway, I don't know how you classify what's BEST HOTEL~

Lebua seemed like a nice way to finish a trip through Thailand, but we were unprepared for the step up we had taken.

Our room included airport transfers and one dinner. We did not expect a 7-series BMW nor a full 7-course dinner with custom menus on the outdoor terrace. The fireworks over the river (just at eye level) were a nice unexpected coincedence as well.

The room itself was spacious, comfortable, clean, and had a great river view. All the right touches, topped off with champagne. We only wish the balcony door would've been operable (all are locked per hotel policy, we were told).

Maybe this is typical of other high-end hotels, but if we spoke to the staff in Thai, they would respond in English. We were told this was required and they were not supposed to speak Thai to us. Needless to say, their English was fluent.

“Good hotel”

Lebua at State Tower

Just checked out of the hotel where we stayed for a couple of nights. The overall feel of the hotel is very pleasant.

Pros
We booked a riverside room and where very happy with the view from the balcony on the 58th floor. It seems to be one of the highest hotels in the Silom area.
The room was very large but lacked a feel of luxury.
The staff was very friendly and the service efficient.
The location was also pleasant as it is a short stroll to the ferry pier making it easy to travel to the Grand Palace and other riverside temples.

Cons
The lifts are amazingly slow and few for rooms above level 51(different lifts for lower levels) as they are not reserved only for guests of the hotel. The sirocco restaurant on top of the hotel has a rigid dressing code. We got refused entry because my shoes didn't have heels. We got into the Breeze restaurant another night and although the food was very nice the wine list was really expansive.

For the price, it is overall a nice hotel and I would recommend it.
