This was one of our favorite excursions on our cruise. Vitalino did an outstanding job giving us history and information about Belize during our trip on the bus. He and his team were fantastic guides during the tubing experience. The walk on the trail was not bad at all. We all had a blast! I would reccommend this trip to anyone.

We had a group of 20 people and signed up in advance to go cave tubing with Vitalino and www.cavetubing.bz. Best decision we could have made. Our itinerary with Carvinal Glory was switched, and they made sure we were still taken care of. If you are planning on going cave tubing you MUST go with Vitalino. He gives a wonderful tour of Belize City. Once at the caves Vitalino has plenty of guides so your individual groups are not too large. They make a human train with your group and then they do all the work. You simply lay back and enjoy! We passed other people "paddling" their way through on their own. The experience is one you don't want to miss. The caves are fascinating and the water is clear and refreshing. On the way back they served the best rum punch and took all of us out to a wonderful local restaurant for lunch. We give them thumbs up all the way!

My wife and I were in Belize for her birthday. She wanted to do the zip line and cave tubing.

Fortunately for us, Miriam at Blue Reef Resort on Ambergris Caye hooked us up with Ian and Vitalino!

Ian was our driver and he showed us a bunch of interesting things...did you know that cashews were the only nuts that grow on the OUTSIDE of the fruit? Heck, did you know that cashew trees had fruit you could eat? Ian was great.

But this review is about Vitalino's Cave Tubing and our experience.

In a word: Wonderful!

He took us down the trail and pointed out some very cool plants. Explained many things about the Mayan culture (I've been to Hell and Back in Belize with Vitalino!) and helped my wife get over her fear of spiders...in a big, big way!!

She was holding a tarantula! Vitalino teased it out and all of us (there were four in our group) had a chance to hold the eight legged lady.

We also sampled termites! Yup...taste like a mint!

The caving was spectacular and Vitalino was a wonderful guide for us. Told us stories, shared smiles and one of the friendliest people I've ever met...and I've met quite a few people in 54 years!

He gets my highest recommendation!!

Believe all the wonderful reviews of Vitalino Reyes and cavetubing.bz you read on trip advisor! My fiance and I booked with Vitalino based on these reviews and we were not disappointed. We came to Belize on the Carnival Valor on May 1, 2008. We were a little late getting off the boat, but Vitalino was there still waiting for us and even thanked us for being on time! What a gracious, interesting man.

The drive to the caves is about 1.5 hours. At the tubing meeting place, you can rent water shoes for $3 US per pair, so no need to bring any or buy a pair just for the trip. At our request, we were joined up with another group of 5 people. Vitalino gave a very interesting nature talk as we walked about 45 minutes to the start point. We even sampled some of the local flora and fauna. Our walk was about 10 minutes longer than the average tour group's so that we could go through an extra cave. It was well worth it. There were a few other groups up there too but we pretty much had the place to ourselves, whereas it got quite crowded further down the river. We had the option to jump into the river from a height of about 10 feet or to walk in (I jumped! No scary rocks, the water is deep there).

In the river, Vitalino told us about the caves and created a fun atmosphere. Everyone was hooked together by putting your feet beneath the armpits of the person in front of you, and Vitalino dragged us through the shallow parts (which in May were very shallow---only a few inches deep---many others were stuck or getting up to walk on the slippery rocks). What a hoot it was to see others' faces as we got adeptly guided through traffic jams of confused tourists floating on their own, stuck in corners! Our experience was a million times better than we would have had if we had gone through the cruise ship. We were so glad to have gone with an independent, local provider.

Afterward we had some rum punch (it's strong!) and stopped for a simple meal on the way back. Vitalino had us back to the ship in plenty of time. I know we couldn't have had a better experience anywhere else. As Vitalino says, your experience with cavetubing.bz will be "unbelizeable"!
