We are from Tampa, FL and visit Atlanta often. We debated staying in Alpharetta due to the distance away from Atlanta. Being right off of GA 400 this hotel is quite a drive from downtown Atlanta however close to the North Point Mall and several restaurants. We visited Lake Lanier Islands and the N Georgia Premium outlets which were only about 30 minutes away. Our last stay in downtown Atlanta at the Marriott Marquis 8/2006 was dreadful. The Marriott Alpharetta was simply a flawless stay. Downtown Atlanta doesn't have much to offer at night, other than Hard Rock Cafe and who wants to hassle with valet parking. The Marriott Alpharetta however offers free self parking. The hotel exceeded our expectations. We booked a King Room with breakfast included (either in room or hotel restaurant) through Marriott.com. Being Marriott Rewards/Elite Members we expect each stay to be perfect which this one was. The breakfast buffet was wonderful. Overall, very nice hotel, clean rooms and a very comfortable bed.

I now know why this hotel is ranked first in Alpharetta. Every experience from a late check-in to a hotel van ride to the MARTA bus stop was flawless. Room service was terrific and always arrived earlier than the estimate and with a full plate of hot food. I loved the Bath & Body Works toiletries, which were very distinct from the typical offerings. The triple sheeting held a cozy comforter and I slept soundly and comfortably every night. I will definitely stay here the next time I'm in the area.

My husband and I typically travel to the JW Marriott in Buckhead annually to celebrate a weekend away from work, kids, chores, etc. This year, we chose to stay at the Marriott in Alpharetta due to their "points deal" with Marriott Rewards. Our stay was free with points, and we saved 9,000 points over the normal rate due to a fall special. The room was just as nice as the JW, which is more than double the price, with the same amenitites. We had the upgraded bedding (down comforter and pillows), upscale toiletries (Bath and Body Works), and a beautiful lobby. The buffet breakfast each morning was FABULOUS with everything we both love - omelets prepared to order and freshly prepared pancakes/waffles/french toast/sweet potato pancakes, bacon, sausage, cream cheese blitzes, potato dishes, hot and cold cereals, fruit, and assorted pastries and bread. The wait staff and cooks were more than happy to assist in any way and were extremely attentive. Much better service than their more pricey counterpart 10 miles away! We also appreciated the non-valet parking (free!) where we had easy access to our vehicle with NO tipping! The hotel is right on GA 400 with easy access to North Point mall and shopping strips, movie theaters, excellent restaurants (all within 5 minutes), and the North Georgia Outlet Malls in Dawsonville are only 20 minutes up the road. It also provided great access to the N. GA mountains. We will most definitely return to this hotel!

Stayed here while in the Alpharetta area for a marching band festival. Great from the word go...staff extremly helpful/friendly. Great location with easy access to GA 400 and many very good eating establishments close by. Nice lounge/bar area. Both an indoor and outdoor pool, with indoor jacuzzi. Asked for extra pillows and towels and recieved them as soon as we settled in to our room on the 8th floor. Very comfortable king bed. Bathroom bigger than average with Bath and Body shampoo, conditioner, etc.. Would recommend to anyone that I know. Wonderful stay.
