I left a review of this property a little more than a year ago. It was a great hotel then and remains a great place to stay.
I booked this hotel for $71/nt. from a Marriott e-breaks weekend offer. The purpose of this trip was to do some shopping and since I was familiar with the area I knew all the stores I wanted to shop were nearby. Northpointe Mall is a short distance away. Additionally, there are multiple movie theaters, good restaurants, and many shopping options (Barnes & Noble, Crate and Barrel, Home Goods, Toys-R-Us, Macy's furniture outlet, Paper Affair, Target, Talbots, etc.) Most of the shops are relatively new.
The hotel itself is wonderful. The parking is free unlike many hotels of this caliber in and around Atlanta. Georgia 400 is a toll road that connects to Buckhead so all of the shopping of that area is conveniently down the road--if you are planning a major shopping excursion to Atlanta this is a hotel to consider.
For this trip I stopped at Whole Foods and took take-out back to the room to eat. I had requested a refrigerator and it was in the room upon my arrival. I had a bubble bath in the tub. The bathroom is spacious with nice amenities.
The room is also spacious with an easy chair and ottoman, a desk with a rolling table (moves perfectly to the end of the bed so you can sit there and watch tv and eat if you like).
My room looked out over the interstate so the view was not spectacular but there was no noise from the interstate, neither did I hear any noise from the hallway or neighboring rooms. I found everything in the room to be in working order and the room was very clean.
I ordered room service for breakfast and it was delivered on time and at the right temperature. The food was well-made and delicious--absolutely no complaints.
Check-in and check-out were fast and efficient. The staff was friendly and helpful.
There is a small store downstairs and there is an indoor pool. I saw a family enjoying themselves there when I walked by the area. There are free newspapers in the lobby and there are sitting areas in the lobby. I did not visit the onsite bar or restaurant.
This hotel is adjacent to an office complex so there really aren't shops and restaurants within easy walking distance. If you leave the hotel and continue straight from the office complex rather than going back to the 400 exit you will travel by the mall and other shopping areas.
I highly recommend this property.
