City Pier was the first place we went when we arrived on Anna Maria Island. It was suggested by the manager of our resort. He told us the prices were reasonable and the view was great - he was right about both. It was a fun-filled family atmosphere. Our 7 year old son sat on the edge of the pier and watched people fish as my husband and I enjoyed an excellent meal of fresh seafood (which is a great treat for us since we are from Missouri!). The live music added to the fun. We returned here several times during our week-long stay. They even did take-out, ( the wait for it was kind of long, but hey, the food was great and not fast food). Be ready to see dolphins while you are there - I got my best photos of them swimming close to the pier. Overall, it was wonderful and we will definitely return there!
