“Only stayed here because I was put here; would not otherwise return”

I stayed at this hotel for a week because of a training session being held at the building next door, which houses several training programs and the distance learning program of a university. I would not have stayed here otherwise. The main advantage of this hotel is the aforementioned location (that is, if you have business at the office building next door). It also has decent small conference facilities onsite, with a nice business center. The fitness center is small but has fairly new equipment.

The hotel is located about 25 minutes from the Denver airport, but a free hotel shuttle is a plus if you are coming for a conference and don't want to spend $40 on a pay shuttle. Unfortunately, the hotel isn't really close to anything -- not within walking distance anyway. It's basically off the interstate and you need a car to get anywhere. The "view" from my room was a parking lot and cars whizzing by on the interstate. Rather bleak.

The hotel does offer a shuttle that will take you to the rail station in Denver. But if you want easy access to the fun areas of Denver, don't stay here.

Although the lobby and meeting areas look okay, the rooms are rather depressing and barren. This is 2-star hotel material, that's for sure. The tub, fixtures, beds, and so on look old and in need of renovation or updates. The bed was worn out and not very comfortable. I also noted that the rooms weren't all that clean when you looked closely, especially the bathroom. This place is trying to sell itself as business class, but the rooms are in serious need of improvements. There is absolutely no sense of luxury as far as the rooms go. This is a very average, perhaps below-average Radisson. The exterior looks kind of modern so when you get into the hallways and rooms, you get a bit of a shock and how dumpy it is.

Complimentary internet (both wired and wireless) is provided; that's a positive. There is also a restaurant onsite that is fair at best and a mall/shopping area about a 10 minute drive from the location. The hotel staff seemed not very happy to be working there.

Overall, I wouldn't return to this hotel unless I absolutely needed to stay very close by.

“Not if i had to pay for the room.”

I had to stay at this motel becuse im in the military and its what they booked for me. The first night i checked in the guy at the front
desk was rude as can be and said that hed have to see if they had a room which should of already been booked. He never got back to me to let me know if they had one. So i talked to a diffrent lady and she got me a room right away. For $90 a night. When i got to the room it was a sana. The ac didnt work the bed was uncomfortible. The next night i had a diffrent room, which i thought couldnt be worse. Boy was i mistaken, Once i got to the room i found all sorts of junk from the previous guest and that every towl in the room was dirty. The only thing i can really say is nice bout the hotel is the bar, the waitress there is friendly and the drinks arnt to expensive. Only bad thing is youll spend most of your night there to try and get drunk enough not to notice how bad the rest of the hotel is.

“United Airlines Put Us Here. United Should Be Ashamed of Themselves.”

Red Lion

United Airlines put us here when they screwed up our flight. This was terrible. It was almost 30 minutes from the airport and we were given a double/double room for a family of four. No smoking but it didn't matter. There are a million things wrong with this hotel. Here's the list....

1) The most uncomfortable bed I've ever slept on. Don't let the 'Sleep Number' thing fool you. These things were awful. We own a 'Sleep Number' bed and the one's in this hotel were broken down and extremely uncomfortable.

2) The carpet was rolling up in the middle of the room and was absolutely filthy.

3) There were paper wrappers all over the floor in our room that housekeeping never cleaned up.

4) The air conditioning unit vibrated all night. I had to push a chair against the unit to stop this annoying sound.

5) One of the lamps in our room didn't work.

6) The bathroom was grungy and dusty.

7) The hallways did not have air conditioning so they were extremely hot and muggy.

8) The hotel has not been updated since it was built. Its decor is outdated and falling apart.

9) The restaurant food was terrible. We ordered a glass of red wine that was as flat and tasteless as we've ever had.

10) The driver on the shuttle to the airport left the radio on. It was early Sunday morning so the station was playing a public service talk show that was discussing young girls health. It was all about menstruation, puberty, sexually transmitted diseases, etc. He never seemed to notice that this discussion, while tasteful, was not the greatest atmosphere for our family of four and the other 3 riders.

There were about 50 other United Customers staying at this hotel. I think the hotel has given United a discounted rate in exchange for forcing people to stay here. Don't do it. If you get delayed, pay for a nice hotel on your own. This hotel gave us a terrible start to our trip. None of us slept and so when we finally reached our destination (Chicago) we had to spend the first day sleeping/recovering.

“go somewhere else, anywhere else!”

Red Lion

We stayed at this hotel on the 21st of June. To be honest you would be better off in a La Quinta circa 1980. Do not let the modern exterior fool you. Rooms are dirty, lamps broken, door knobs falling off (got stuck in the bathroom). Sleep member beds are not comfortable, the micro small and old pillows are the worst I've ever experienced. Called house keeping and got their voice mail...never returned call. Asked the front desk for pillows at 2:10pm. finnaly got them at 8 pm. This hotel needs to be redone or torn down. The worst part was upon checkout. The man in front of us asked to see the manager. He was told, "the manager is in a meeting for an hour and a half". I simply said to the front desk, "there are no comment cards in your rooms, do you have them here at the front desk?" I was then told "we do not have them, only for United crews" I then said "I assume you do not care about your customers" The reply: "I guess not". Do yourselves a favor, book at a really budget hotel, if you want a budget hotel. For $170.00 a night (including our room tax) you can do much, much better elsewhere, and perhaps find management that cares about it's guests. You should know, this is the only time I have ever written a review about a hotel. The experience was so bad, and the attitudes about lack of caring about what the customer thinks...I will write as many reviews, on as many sites as possible about this hole in the wall. AVOID

I found it very difficult to even get to this hotel because of the interchange. I was put in a handicapped room (242), althought I am not handicapped and did not request a handicapped room. The air conditioner was extremely noisy and was not able keep the room at a comfortable temperature. Almost all of the fixtures in the bathroom were coming off the wall including the shower plumbing which was one of those wand things instead of a standard shower head. Bed and pillows were uncomfortable, not the sleep number beds they advertise. Although they provide internet accesss they had no outlets at the desk to use for your computer power supply. Manager offered to buy me breakfast when I complained. As a corporate traveler, breakfast is normally included, but not at this place. Hopefully they are going to find me a better room tonight.
